This is a rule, and it's becoming annoyingly rampant in this subforum for people to ignore it and post long stories about their personal lives to highlight that they're better than a lolcow because they've overcome challenges that the lolcow hasn't.

We care about our users, but talking at length about your personal life should go in Off-Topic. In the lolcow boards all it does is make you look deeply insecure while turning threads into long, unreadable messes. Please stop this.

Make the threads about extracting humor from the lolcows, not about you.
