This thread is from a conversation I recently had with a friend. This isn't just for bizarre shows and movies, since we've got tons of threads on that, this is for weird media from childhood and beyond that you weren't sure was a real thing, or a dream you had while suffering from acute food poisoning.
Anyhow, I was reminiscing about Saturday morning shows I'd get stoned and watch, such as the live action Mortal Kombat show. My friend was like "the cartoon?" and I'm like "no, it was like a live tournament".

So after scouring the Internet I found that it was a strange Mortal Kombat knock off.

Skin mask guy was highly unsettling.
I feel like I saw part of this movie on tv while home sick, and that’s why I thought it wasn’t real.

There was also this live action movie about some Care Bears rip-off or Popples or something and the main baddie was this evil witch who had to eat this special fruit like once every few hours or so to keep her youth. All I really remember from the movie is her dying as she was desperately reaching for a piece of the fruit. It pans over to her arm as she’s reaching for it, and you just hear a long pained scream as you see her arm age rapidly into just skin and bones. Creepy as shit.

I can't remember for the life of me the name of the show, or when it exactly aired, but it was a CGI like animation mixed with irl actors about the space, I think. It had a spaceship and the main villain was helped by this strange yellow/marron bat-bird like creature, with big eyes. It was very poorly animated and I shat my pants every time this creature showed, holy shit I was terrified of it

A long time ago, back when Disney Channel was largely for playing their own movies (old and new) and classic shorts they didn't really show commercials back then. It was a pretty gradual introduction before they became a regular cable channel instead of one you paid extra for, so to fill up extra space in time slots they would do things like show clips or musical numbers from movies (mainly the old ones) and music videos. Initially there were four that I can recall, one was a girl in a green field wearing a bee suit, another featured a guy singing about a T-rex, the third one involved a mean old woman (I think) making some kids restore an old train, and the fourth one was the meatball song, the one where it grows a tree. Go figure that's the only one on YouTube that I can find so I've never been able to prove the other three exist. They did do others later on (the ones for The Lion King were pretty prominent) but it's the early ones that I can barely remember.

There was a videotape that was rented for me from the video rental place we didn't normally go to, it was a collection of animated bible stories. Each segment was done in a different style eg; Lotte-Reiniger-shadow art for Genesis, something suspiciously anime-esque for Samson, I think rotoscoping for Saul and David and rough sketch linework for Jonah. It looked incredible.

I developed an obsession for the video and wanted to see it again after it was returned, but I was like five and couldn't remember the name so when I was asked what I wanted for Christmas I said 'the bible.' I got several bibles over the next few years and none of them were the one I actually wanted, plus my family thought I was going through a weird religious phase.

I've been trying to find it but it's proving impossible. I've watched a lot of different animated bible stories now and not one of them is the right one.

There was some Christmas cartoon I remember seeing, looked fairly old to be maybe from the 70s or early 80s(honestly couldn't tell, but it looked like shit). All I remember is there was a grandmother telling a story about a Christmas tree that ate kids or something? I only remember seeing it once on TV and haven't managed to track it down since then.

I also remember seeing some horror film (something with zombies I think?) that was shot on video or something and had at least two characters (scientists or something) that had some of the worst dubbing I've ever heard. The only other thing I can go on is that I think there was a Cinema Snob episode on it.

Religious stuff is near impossible to find refernces to, since there wasn't much of an after market for it.
One I've been trying to find was something I saw when I was veery young, like 4. I think it was religious due to it being vignettes about morality. The segment I remember involved a guy stealing a jewel and then being attacked by a mummy. This would've been mid-80s and I half believe it was some Scientology special.
