Yeah, and realistically, the only people who would be able recognize the individual shirt designs as being from here would have to also be checking this site fairly frequently. It wouldn't be hard for someone with one of the shirts to BS and say they picked it up second-hand and don't know what it means. How would a Kayla in this situation be able to escalate from there without admitting that they come here? It's not like it's not outside the realm of possibility that a Kiwi would regret their shirt purchase, maybe autistically fearing that spergs will call them out irl, and donate it to Goodwill for a normie to pick up.

The idea of Little Miss Frilly Pink Things actually starting on T is magical because while the hairiness will really complete her existing inbred neandrathal look, the end result is really not gonna be what she's hoping for.

The only way she isn't gonna recognized as a girl is people thinking she's a really unfortunate not-passing MtF... and then stumbling over themselves to awkwardly use female pronouns for her. Which would be spectacularly funny and I kind of desperately want to see it.

Edited to add: also, I know we joke about her being the most privileged girl in the world and all, but "I don't need commissions financially but I need them emotionally, hashtag it's about the validation" made me roll my eyes right into the stratosphere. How does someone her age still act like a melodramatic little turd of a teenager.

Her facial structure is actually really mature and she'd probably look a lot better if she dressed like an adult. Her mental image of herself is of an uwu boy with the shortened proportions that the childish and bright clothing could possibly work on, but in reality she looks like a grown ass adult pretending she's still in middle school.

I'll keep insisting she'd look better if she tried out darker colors until she finally clicks with it.

'Thirteen years of experience! Thirteen years of experience!' That doesn't mean shit if you've spent thirteen years being a massive pissbaby whose writing seems to actively backslide and if you spend more time whining about not being Popular than you actually spend writing. That also doesn't mean shit when you actively admit you don't read and expose yourself to new influences to show how to do the craft well. practice is important, but it has to be practicing with an intent to improve instead of just being self-indulgent bean flicking fujo material about your husbando crossdressing.

Doing something creative not out of love, but just for attention is just asking to be disappointed. People can tell when you only care about how many people kiss your ass over it, and most writers also outgrew the '3 nice comments or I won't write the next chapter' back in the My Immortal era of the early 2000s.

Here's the thing about what Kayla is trying to be: the age of the Big Name Fan writing long epics is over. Especially in the fandoms that skew younger like the ones she's in. In those fandoms I see a lot of group chat fics where the characters are zoomers and talk just like the author and their friends in Discord and that's more indicative of what fics for those fandoms are like compared to the 100k+ ones. Not to say that that's the only type of fic people will read, but generally most popular ones are one shots. People just don't have the attention span to read long stories anymore, especially if they're reading on their phone.

I've been lurking this thread for about as long as it's been one, and in the years she's been observed here literally nothing has changed. Still throws herself a pity-party for every minor inconvenience and yet she can't get more than 1 or 2 pity follows. These anons just read like a therapy session that keeps going in circles.

She is obsessed with wanting to be ~famous~ but that's a pipe dream if you exclusively write shitfics of existing franchises all day. But the problem I see is her 'AUs' or whatever make the characters so unlike themselves from the source material that it's like reading about a rando's OCs. It's too niche even though trans headcanons aren't anything new for tumblr standards. That's why giving her advice about writing generally falls on deaf ears since a lot of those (good) tips is more suitable for people who actually want to get original content out there. Plus it requires work, and she doesn't want to put in anything beyond the bare minimum of pressing the keyboard.

Writing for yourself is one thing, but it's another to project yourself entirely onto a character and expect fans of the game to read it and say "wow yes I totally can see this as a new dimension to this character very epic! I will now worship the ground you walk on!"
If she wants to write just to gain an audience, then at least write like you understand what people liked about persona 5. Give them SOMETHING bearing resemblance to the fucking source material ffs. I'm going to armchair and go as far as to say she only wants her fics to get attention so her lackluster personality can feel validated. She is a tumblr kinnie after all.

If you wanna write long fic, you better be writing it because you enjoy writing it, and you'll have to deal with the fact that you won't get tons of feedback, in fact, you may even find yourself appreciating being a few people's hidden gem, and treasuring the comments you do get, if you have the right attitude (which Kayla doesn't). Kayla thinks she wants to be the BNF but she would not be able to handle it well at all, considering how poorly she handles criticism. It's really not all that it's cracked up to be. Hos be fake as fuck and brown-nosers are the worst fucking people.

Imagine if she did get exactly what she wanted and became a BNF off her fic. How would she deal with the hoards of talentless hacks who are unable to contribute anything anybody likes and will seek to tear her down just to make themselves feel sort of better about themselves?

Let's be real here; Kayla could not handle dealing with an army of opposing Kaylas.

Group chat fics have been a thing since AOL, and more often than not they're crackfic. And crackfic is a guaranteed hit, because people enjoy laughing at lolrandumb stuff over stilted dialogue about being the gender identity du jour.

If Kayla wanted to be popular in a fan work environment, she'd go that route; the most efficient way for non-creative writers to get popular is to write what people already like. But, surprise, that takes effort and reading other people's fics to find out what the fandom's into. I don't even think she's involved in any Persona 5 fandom discussions on Tumblr--normally there's fandom jokes and widely-collaborated aus and headcanons for fic writers to riff off of.
