I actually did catch wind of this vtuber named Taiga getting called out for being a weird shotacon a few days ago. So reading Kayla's post referencing it made me do a double take. You're just gonna focus on the viewership thing (classic Kayla) but say nothing about how disgusting this shotacon freak actually is? Of all the stuff on that google doc, his complaining about views is what lights a fire under your ass?

Honestly I don't know. I guess it's in that order in case viewers have a kneejerk reaction about the accusation and say "this cant be true taiga said publicly he hates this stuff". Then transition them from the fictional stuff (which is still really creepy imo) to how he's into real-world kiddy shit. Seems to me it's being argued that the fictional content was a warning sign something is seriously wrong with this dude.

Suddenly she has it and wants people to not scold her for staying up all hours of the night doing god knows what. It's not like she has school so it can't be related to studying.

Power level, will delete if asked but as someone with many actual diagnoses, one of which is a sleep disorder. If you know your disorder well enough it's fairly easy to wake up on time, yes you'll be tired as shit if it's a bad day but changing when you get up isn't difficult. At least for me.

So she posted some of her writing and I am so here for this, because her prose is boring and awkward. Four ellipses within five short paragraphs, awful. Also, "As if he needed to realize more signs that his former hero was clearly full of bullshit for all those years." What even is that sentence?

I could write a whole essey about what's wrong with this but I'll spare you guys and just say it's bad.

Just snip out some words, rephrase a bit, and it's coherent.

It's cliched, it's awkward, and Kayla complains about her writing being too short but this section is too long just because it meanders and never gets anywhere. She should either be shortening this drastically or making the length actually worth it by using this space to say something that isn't just repeating "he is comparing himself to this child", which would, incidentally, help her lengthen her fics.

I'm gonna put my conspiracy hat on and say there was other stuff playing out alongside her lateness to get her fired. There are very few places that will fire you for being late twice. The lateness is either such a chronic problem they've decided that keeping her on staff isn't worth it, or they were looking for an excuse to boot her out of the door.
She's said herself that the place she worked was understaffed, and we know the field she was working in is chronically understaffed because it's a difficult job, so if she was as good at her job as she says she is, they would've given her the chance to sort herself out, especially if she has a diagnosed medical disorder. (We all know that last part is bullshit because she's never been diagnosed with anything lmao)

She's never going to grow out of being a teenager, mentally. Blaming her sleep issues on an imaginary disorder, when it's very likely caused by being on her phone 24/7, browsing Tumblr, reading fanfic, etc. is stupid. It's proven to have negative effects on sleep health, and I'm sure many of you have heard kids blame their poor sleep habits on some disorder they assume they have. Whether it's because they don't know any better, or they're stubborn.

In fact, I think she's complained in the past about not "passing out" while on her phone before. I'm sure it's the last thing she sees at night and the first thing she sees in the morning. All that blue light and dopamine is probably wrecking her. I'm sure her excuse is that she "can't sleep without it," too, and that she'd never commit to even a month of practicing good sleep habits to help. This is something you should do if you have a disorder, anyways.

I doubt a single person in her life thought she'd actually keep this job long term. A position of authority is not for her, especially so when you need good responsibility and a lot of patience. It makes me wonder if her needing to switch students was actually a bigger deal than she made it out to be.

Or she has gotten treatment/improved her sleep hygiene on her own, and got unlucky twice in a short span of time. Either way, please focus on getting new employment instead of bitching about people not liking your extremely niche fanfic.

That's exactly her problem; she thinks the key to writing longform is to add more words, when it's actually to add more substance. I'd feel sorry for her if I actually thought writing was her passion, but it's just what she thinks will make her popular (and it'll never work).
