She's right, I've definitely made a lot of stupid purchases in my day. I'm sure a lot of you have, as well. Somehow, though, I doubt that many people ITT have willingly moved homes with only a chunk of change saved in the bank... A chunk of change that was "saved" via e-begging, at that. All the while still obnoxiously defending their right to buy ugly Lolita dresses and pngs of anime girls.

Also. I know that the sky is blue and water is wet and all that, but I'm still somehow surprised by how childish her mentality is. She's still genuinely hung up on academic failings from high school. She hasn't matured, and as such can't understand WHY people are so bothered by things like her frivolous spending habits. No one actually gives a shit what you spend your disposable income on, but that's the part she hyper-focuses on. Yes I know I bought something dumb while moving out on pocket change, while relying entirely on my job with the high turnover rate, with no savings in the bank for emergencies. Who hasn't done something nice for themselves once in a while? So sue me!

Plenty of people on this website have struggled financially, the difference is that those people haven't bragged about how they can manage on their own and that people are stupid for doubting them and then immediately turned to ebegging when they fuck up once again. They don't ask people for money for "important things" then spend money on shitty mobile idol games or whatever.

I'm also 100% sure no one has ever said "I feel so oppressed, I can't wear a kf shirt in public", when the whole thing about using this website is it affords us anonimity (unless you do something that pisses off the feds), so advertising that you're a member of kf isn't the best. Also see the batshit troons that showed up at nools mums house. I'm not saying that going to happen to someone who's wearing a kf shirt but there are people who have their shit exposed here who are that unhinged.

How the fuck do you figure that you'd find the time and money after moving rather than before, when you didn't have to pay rent or utilities, easily two of the largest month-to-month expenses that most working adults pay? You didn't think that, working hand to mouth between three adults (presumably all being paid close to minimum wage), that an undiagnosed and untreated sleep disorder that has cost you your job before could put all three of you into a precarious situation? Did you just decide it's not your problem, because you knew that the bank of mom and dad would stop you from feeling the consequences of your actions?

I don't think Kayla realizes that people on KF aren't as gullible as the autistic teenagers she dupes into donating to her. There is simply no way, working full-time on minimum wage and with her only necessary spending being on her own groceries, that she couldn't save a couple hundred a month at the very least. The guilty blame-shifting makes it pretty clear that she knows that that money doesn't just disappear from her account for no reason. Normalize this, normalize that. How about you 'normalize' being a partner that doesn't prioritize their own selfish immediate gratification at the expense of long-term stability?

What a joke of a person. Of course KFers have seen financial struggles, you waterhead. It's just that they will never see your struggle, because you have handled it in a catastrophically incompetent way that would make anyone look like Dave Ramsey next to you.

I dunno. From my recollection, Gifted Kids/Honor Students (depending on their personality) could be haughty...or more likely their siblings due to "my sibling is an Honor Student, therefore I do whatever the fuck I want". If that makes sense

Getting a bit OT here, my apologies, but I've never run into siblings doing that, mostly the ones I've seen have been just jealous, if not indifferent--not that I'm doubting you, it's fascinating how different people can be.

Considering there's a third involved in this living situation, I can only believe they either lied and said this roommate also had money or they had a parent cosign the lease, because I don't see how any landlord would rent out to someone that came in with half their first payment comprised of crowdfunding and temporary government stimulus otherwise.

ETA: currently the job market is pretty much desperate to keep people on a payroll even if you're about as useful as a warm body. So Kayla can go job hopping with ease of mind i guess lol

The McDonald’s by me is putting flyers on every order bag letting people know they can get some free food or a little bit of cash just for filling out an application. No shade to anyone who does restaurant work, but places are desperate right now; if it involves serving food, or serving anything to tourists, they’ll probably take anyone who walks in.

I give her two months before her mythical “sleep disorder” (hint to Kayla: oversleeping isn’t a sleep disorder symptom, maybe do some Googling so you can lie more effectively in the future) causes her to get fired. Just because places are desperate for warm bodies, doesn’t mean they’ll continue to pay the ones who don’t show up.
