Never got the chance to play the original, so I was stoked to hear it was getting a port. Especially glad it's not XBX only like early announcements were implying.
I have it on Steam. I bought it way back during a sale in 07. It wouldn't run correctly and then it was de-listed. I then just kept forgetting that I had it and I know there's fan patches to get it to work but I just kept procrastinating. I only spent like $5 on it.
I always meant to play this but never got around to it, the Steam version was removed and copies of the original Xbox version are pretty expensive (one of the rare Xbox games to actually be pricy in fact)
So I'm really happy to get a second chance.

While I haven't played the game itself I have been a fan of it's soundtrack for years, especially the cover of Mr Sandman.
I played the original when some dude I knew brought it over when I was a kid. I remember being kind of underwhelmed by it but never got the chance to buy it again. It mysteriously never shows up in resale shops and I haven't been assed to go digging around on Ebay for vidya in like 10 years. Might give it a shot again if its a straight port with no remastered bullshit.
Since you love the trend of underrated games getting a second chance and also like good soundtracks check out Voodoo Vince Remastered. It's a legitimately underrated platformer that has an amazing OST which got completely overlooked again upon re-release.
I played it a long time ago, like year it was released. It's juvenile humor I remember enjoying when I was a juvenile. Game play was a bit ass and I only made it a few hours in.

Voodoo Vince is one I played back in the day and have been to revisit it via that Remaster, but isn't it only on the Microsoft store on PC?

Are they doing a graphical update then? Or is it literally the same game but rereleased?
It's the same game. No HD graphics. Maybe a filter? I'm hoping if you bought it on Steam you get it for free or at a good discount at the least.
Yeah, imagine thinking it's a bad thing that ol' Stubbs gets the spotlight.
I hope there's a filter or something because it might look kinda bad uprezzed to HD? 6th gen games are funny that way, sometimes they look great in HD, sometimes it actually makes them look worse.

I'm surprised this game is coming back, I remember how much of a pain it was to get a torrented copy to run on Win7 at the time, combined with how insanely expensive the physical copies were on Ebay (specially Russian re-dubbed one)
Yeah, I was surprised to see how expensive Xbox copies are considering the vast majority of Xbox games are dirt cheap (at least they were 4 years ago)
What's too bad is it looked like it has a cool manual, maybe some kind of PDF will be included with this re-release?
I think usually such games are pricey because the copies numbers for them arent big. Same can be said about a physical.copy of You Are Empty and Cryostasis (again specially the Russian dubbed copies).
