I still think this show sadly sucks (and worse off, it didn't have to!), but dear God... That was a better way to end it than it has any right to be ended. Too bad they still want to make a movie and new episodes, afterward. Why keep going with this when what we got here was more than enough closure worth a damn is anyone's guess, IMHO...

Wait... there's more episodes? There are no more conflicts. Any other stuff they want to do could be done in the movie, or maybe an epilogue episode. Another season would spoil that good ending.

Lol they introduced a big antagonist only to have her shit pulled down to anti villain in five episodes (not even dragged out by hiatuses), what a joke. The only feasible way I can only see it being remotely plausible is if you imagine the diamonds have been quietly stewing in negative emotions and loathing for thousands of years and we're just seeing their breaking point. Like someone said before, the showrunners have all these ideas and explanations and backstories in their heads that they never show and just expect us to understand without telling us.
This is what you get when your show is more about how woke you are than telling a good, coherent, believable story.

Yeah, this finale is still pretty fucking meh/awesomely bad... And it's still the best fucking way they could end such a fucking meh/awesomely bad show like SU, honestly. With that of fucking SJWBS that even people who make cartoons indefinitely for lil' tykes should be openly making fun of, right now, not applauding in any sense.

There's still quite a few unanswered questions, I guess. I dunno. I'm kinda curious to see what they'll do now that they've resolved the whole corruption thing. Maybe it'll address where the diamonds came from in the first place? Who knows.

From what I understood while watching it, that was exactly it. They were stewing in grief, pressure, and resentment for eons and it took human empathy to break them. I'm not saying the episode was flawless, far from it, but I'm saying that's what I saw.

Well... They still have to figure out what the fuck to do with the cluster, all those frankenstein fusion experiments (since apparently breaking them apart into shards and burying them is out of the question)

And TBH, That's how it should be continued. Through fanfiction. Only because that's more fun to read and cringe at, actually, regarding this show. Unless those making it can somehow make this show actually watchable in a way that's truly worth it, which is what I would like to see, even if I don't do fanfiction, honestly.

That's just it. It was written like a finale because they weren't entirely sure they were gonna get a sixth season and they didn't want it to be obvious the show got canned, and damn, it shows.

Through the whole hour special, I could tell that they were cramming in as much as they possibly could. Pearl and Steven fusion, Sunstone, Obsidian, the healing of the corrupted gems and fixing the diamonds, ect. It really screamed to me "HEY THIS IS A SERIES FINALE"
So I was quite surprised to hear that they're dragging it on for a 6th season

No. Maybe an epilogue would be nice, looking at all the new characters and where the main cast has gone. There's not enough material to use for a whole season. Maybe they could have conflicts with all the new Earth gems, but that would probably end up being boring. Jasper could maybe have some interesting stuff.
