Sub-forum for Chris' vidya buying habits? -

Seeing as there's going to be a new topic made every time Chris buys something game related, might I suggest we gather them all in one place? There's maybe more chance of better discussion if all the posts can feed of one another instead of just disappearing down the main board.

(I'm off to bed, so apologies for starting a discussion but not sticking around to contribute )

It's not necessary at all. In fact, I'd rather there just be one thread for it rather than an entire forum.

Like there was a threat about Duke Nukem Forever, and how Chris bought it, and it devolved into a "so here's why this game sucked" thread

OK, fair enough guys, just thought I'd throw it out there.

I actually meant a single, consolidated thread, I'm not sure why I used the term sub-forum (I was tired) It's just every thread starts with "Chris bought x game" and then goes on about how every game he buys is rubbish, he doesn't play most of them , and he just wants trophies.

at least with a facebook update thread, we're getting actual content straight from Chris' own thoughts and there's a lot of genuine discussion to be had.

Chris really doesn't do a lot that we are informed of these days. If he buys a bunch of games at once I don't care if a thread is made.

I thinking expanding the forum into a "Chris Activities" subforum for speculation about video game habits and IRL sperging would be alright.

You're right, I agree. But I wasn't implying that we shouldn't talk about them, it's just that with every thread made, the discussion seems to go the same way. Mention what he's bought, Go an about the games he plays being crap, go on about him buying stuff and not playing it, and an obligatory reference to wasting taxpayers money.

I just feel that because the discussion is always so similar, it would be to it's benefit to be brought together and not so fractured.

It's really not that big a deal, it was just a suggestion.

If we're going to split "Chris" into more subforums might as well do a few more and make it tidy. I'd suggest either keeping it as is or splitting into 4 - updates, what if, speculation, and commentary.

Updates
where all the Facebook update threads and shit go.
E.g. "Chris comments on some shitty YouTube video!" or some actual news from Marvin.
(this could be done in one of two ways, somebody posts an update thread into "updates" then people can comment in that thread OR there could be a corrosponding thread in "commentary" so this subforums quite clean. The latter way means it'd be easier to catch up with Chris if you're away for a bit. Kinda how "da update" on the CWCKI works if the CWCki were more alive).
What if
Keep that as is.
E.g. "what if Chris was bikecurious?" (the what if subforum is weird ).
Speculation
where all the speculation threads go, the bulk of threads are these type, whether they're about the future of Chris ("what will happen when barb dies?") or about his past ("when did Chris become unfixable?").
Commentary
people who want to comment on Chris's games, choice in films, etc. can do here. Maybe even commenting on Chris's more recent actions, depending on the role of "Update".

And obviously theyd need witty names, but I'm too tired and serious for such a thing

Might be a good idea to omit speculation or commentary, lest the main forum loses its purpose.
