Sunrise President & CEO Yasuo Miyakawaannounced at Sunrise's Anime Expo panel on Thursday that Sunrise is collaborating with Legendary Pictures on a live-action Gundam film. The panel shared a teaser video and noted that "co-production has begun" and both Legendary and Sunrise are collaborating on the scenario.

Legendary's Executive Vice-President of Production Cale Boyter and Bandai Namco Holdings President and Representative Director Mitsuaki Taguchi appeared at the event.

The poster reminds me more of Gundam Wing than the original though, and we all know there will be plenty of chances to make everyone gay if it's Gundam Wing. Plus you have Quatre who's Middle Eastern (in this version he will be a swarthy Syrian-looking guy who will be a devout Muslim) and two Asian main characters (Heero and Wufei). They'll make either Duo or Trowa black (probably Duo I bet).

Zechs, Treize, and the other villains will be straight white men of course.
