In 2014 in the Master Divisions at VGC World Championships, a player named Se Jun Park won the entire thing with a Pachirisu (a.k.a.Squirrel Pikachu), which in the competitive scene is so fucking low in the tier rank, it has no tier at all. People in the competitive scene were like "yea, ok... but you shouldn't be using Pachirisu, it's still a horrible Pokemon".

Also everyone knows the kind of freaks the competitive scene in those games attract. One look at their ED page is basically all you need to know about them.
