For these reasons in that post why Banjo can’t make into Smash Bros., this is dumb.

1. The Megaman series was pretty dead at the time when he made it to Smash 4, so whether a game series is dead or not is irrelevant.
2. Solid Snake, a character in a game series very popular for Sony consoles, made it to Brawl and could’ve made it to Melee too but was too late, so competitors aren’t even an issue.

Why would he be salty over Banjo Kazooie though? I can understand Sans or Goku, but seriously, Banjo Kazooie?

As someone who first got into the FGC through Smash, holy SHIT has the Melee community taken a toll for the worst. A very big part of the autism of the community comes from the 5 gods themselves who carry a lot of the feeling of entitlement the community has. A lot of members believe they should get a special treatment from the FGC because of how the community has stayed alive through more grassroots efforts compared to others (i.e. complaining about Melee not being a Sunday final at EVO despite there already being 2 Smash games)

I think what's even bigger than the divide between Smash and other fighting games is the divide between Melee and Smash 4. @ChineseEarthquake 's post only scratches the surface of the hatred between the communities. It's a huge shocker how different of conduct the Smash 4 community has compared to Melee, to the point where Smash 4 is accepted much more by the FGC. Even an autistic shithole like r/Kappa prefers to make fun of Melee because 90% of the Smash autism you still see comes from that community.

Why the fuck do hey think they deserve special treatment anyway, beyond autism? Do they have any idea how much of a bitch it is to keep enough crtvs on hand, and in working order, for a proper local/tournament compared to a bunch of schmucks just bringing their ps4s and few monitors? Sorry if I’m salty, but a convention near me had a launch tourny for DBZ and I didn’t get to play several matches because the Melee austists couldn’t get their shit done in the alloted time.
