I imagine you can go the roundabout way of buying a prepaid VISA gift card or whatnot and just pay with that?

I mean, there's a ton of ways to do it. I don't know why people hate Bitcoin so much. It's faster and easier than setting up a PayPal account.

For anyone that wants to know and that doesn't want to use their personal credit/debit cards, yes Visa gift cards do work, that's what I used. The only downside is they have a $5 acctivation fee in addition to what you load them with.
