I like the appeal of close combat over ranged combat.
Both require skill and reaction, but I always loved the feel of close combat over shooting someone at range with a airsoft gun.
But it's not just swords I like however, maces, spears, clubs, combat knives are just as cool.
IDK why autists like katanas tho, cuz katanas aren't really duel weapons, they were meant for fast strikes and kills, only dueling with another katana or similar sword.

To be fair, the third guy (with the medieval European sword in the field) looks like his BMI is more or less in the normal range. Doesn't stop him from looking totally autistic, though.

I also have to wonder why they all have shitty haircuts and/or neckbeards.
It is kind of ironic they invest so much time and money into acquiring and mastering every type of imaginable blade, but they have yet to master the simple shaving razor.
