The annoying thing about some of these American-“insert minority” spergs is that a lot of them don’t even know much about the culture they’re reeeeiiing on behalf of. This is especially true of Chinese Americans whose ancestors migrated here after Mao took over China, since the Communists went out of their way to purge it.

In terms of comic books this issue is very acute whenever they hire someone who unironically identifies as Latinx. Chavez America for example was written by someone who is not familiar with Latin America at all. Just because an American identifies as a minority it doesn’t mean they automatically know or get their country’s past.

This is what happens when you open traditionally male-oriented spaces to women. They don't embrace the hobby, they just complain until men change it for them. I use the term "men" loosely, these androgynous sacks of shit think that they will get laid because of it. The lowest form of male. Maybe it will force some of these guys to consider a hobby that most woman cannot physically do, and therefore hasn't gone to shit yet. IRL concern trolls, worse if they're mothers too. You can't turn off being a mom, and nobody wants to take their mom base jumping.

I know it’s not the biggest thing but could we get some stuff on cyberpunk and shadowrun? I don’t know much about cyberpunk other then the fact that 3rd edition was an absolute shitshow that killed the series until 2077. I play Shadowrun and watched the community revolt that was 6th edition.

I figure that this genre will either see a resurgence or a drop off depending on what the long term reaction to Cyberpunk 2077 is.

Do we get to post our own horrible experiences itt? Because I'm sure there's a deep vein of autism waiting to be mined. From my university TTRPG/Warham club alone:

- The guy who showed up to gaming sessions in a padlocked cat collar with "Katy's Kitty" written on it.
- The blatant furry who would *always* play a "werefox" in every game, including settings where there's no such thing and throw a bitchfit if the GM/DM wouldn't let him be a werefox, even if it was a fucking Terminator game or something
- The four morbidly obese guys in Slayer hoodies who would moodily play Space Hulk in the corner of the room and never even spoke to anyone else the entire time I was there. Their GM got drunk at a party once and tried to convince me that he had one played guitar for Dragonforce and was best buds with Herman Li.
- The 2e D&D group so inept that the only player who actually understood THAC0 was a woman with literal Down Syndrome.
- The one guy in every group who had actually managed to snag a girlfriend/fiancee and would not shut up about it, ever, because he thought that made him King of the Nerds. One of them even RP'd as her in a game. When said woman actually appeared she was almost always fat, annoying and possessed of one or more Cluster B personality disorders.

If you aren’t playing blood bowl like this you’re playing it wrong.

I tried to visualize how that scene went down and regardless of how I imagined it, I couldn’t help but chuckle. The cherry on top is that it was a university club and not like a secondary school.

After reading his account it occurred to me that if I was a teacher, this is exactly why I wouldn’t want to sponsor a school’s gaming club. I don’t want all the added stress and more importantly liability from tard wrangling later: “Chris, put down the hobby knife!” “John why did you just flip over the gaming table? Do you know how long it took me to put it all together?” “Phil why the fuck did you stick that d20 up your nose? Josh, can you take him up to the nurse’s office again?”

The fact we have grown men deliberately cheating in their games of toy soldiers is telling. What makes it even worse is money isn’t even on the line. At events you get some new plastic at most and just a junky little trophy at worst.

Basically, DM gets pissy because OP is staying in character by having a terminal disease and scouring for resources to stay alive, which holds up the plot.
