>REEEE STOP PROTESTING IN THE STREETS
>they protest peacefully
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MUH FLAG
Well of course, those uppity blacks don't deserve to have their voices heard.
Problem is the protest's gesture doesn't make any goddamn sense as a protest and no one cares what highly paid athletes who are insulated from culpability in their criminal activities have to say about income inequality or whatever other bullshit they're trying to accomplish.
If they don't care about it, why have they been freaking out and having public meltdowns about it for months?

"Don't care" as in "Shut up about your supposed civil rights grievances and fuckin' play ball already."

ANN ARBOR, MI - Four Ann Arbor city council members chose to kneel during the Pledge of Allegiance at a meeting on Monday, Oct. 16.
Chip Smith, 5th Ward; Chuck Warpehoski, 5th Ward; Sumi Kailasapathy, 1st Ward; and Jason Frenzel, 1st Ward; moved in front of the council's table, turned toward the flag and took a knee when it came time to recite the Pledge of Allegiance after the meeting was called to order.
Warpehoski said the move was an act of attention, concern and respect.
"I can't speak to what is in each person's heart, but for me to 'take a knee' is an act of attention, of concern, and of respect," Warpehoski wrote on his website ahead of Monday's meeting and also stated at the meeting. "And it is in that spirit that I take a knee at tonight's City Council meeting: out of respect for the aspiration that we be a nation 'with liberty and justice for all,' with full attention that we fall short of that ideal in many ways, and with humble dedication to continue to work that the promise of the pledge may be fulfilled."
During the meeting, Kailasapathy said she knelt during the Pledge to demonstrate her commitment to upholding democratic values.
"For me, taking a knee is also showing solidarity with the group of people who have been doing this at the national level," she said.
The other council members' reasons for kneeling were not immediately apparent at Monday's meeting.
At least I still have hockey.

This man at Sunday’s Patriots-Jets game respects the United States and its national anthem so much that he turned the country’s flag into a picnic blanket. Reader Marshall spotted the patriot, who is better than all of us, at the Jets’ stadium.
A little more detail:
Basically, me and my friend were walking around the stadium sometime during the 3rd quarter. There is a huge tv screen by the food carts right inside the stadium where people gather to watch. We went over there to check it out and we saw him spread the flag out and sit down.
I thought it was too ironic so I snagged a picture. He sat on it for a few minutes before leaving.
A true American.
That's not what I've seen. I've seen YouTube videos with people frothing at the mouth and literally screaming at the camera about treason and Communism and yada yada, people making bonfires out of merchandise they spent thousands of dollars on, and all kinds of crazy, really totally mad stuff.
Anyone heard about Germany virtue-signaling about this? I know in one of their latest matches they also did the "bend the knee" nonsense to stand against racism or something.
Could be a twofer. Despite what his reeing opponents think and constantly assert, Trump is not a stupid guy. When he does stuff like this, he's energizing his base and baiting the media into focusing on dumb NFL nonsense instead of... well, what the news media might call "more substantial issues" even though it's almost always "TWO SCOOPS" tard raging.Someone pointed this out, and I hadn't thought about it until then, but this whole thing may be Trump deliberately stirring the pot to give the NFL a PR headache (knowing full well that sports autism is self-winding once let loose) as "payback" for his USFL days...... Specifically when he sued the NFL for anit-trust and won... a whopping $3 (not a joke, look it up)
He seems like the kind of guy who holds petty grudges against that kind of "disrespect".
Apologies if someone already brought this up.
He tried to purchase the Buffalo Bills a couple of years ago. He also attempted to purchase the New England Patriots back in the 80's. He's always wanted an NFL team but never managed to get one.Someone pointed this out, and I hadn't thought about it until then, but this whole thing may be Trump deliberately stirring the pot to give the NFL a PR headache (knowing full well that sports autism is self-winding once let loose) as "payback" for his USFL days......
