I find this fucking hilarious since she's a Canadian-born voice actress yet came to work in America. But hey, please do take the east and west coasts, Canada, we won't miss them one bit.

There is a strange form of Anti-americanism in Canada (garden-variety Antiamericanism goes more towards "they terk r jerbs" and "they want to own all our shit and leave us with nothing") that is prevalent both in Metropolitan East Coast centers and along both coasts (east and west). It's morphed into a weird perception that "right wing" is "more American" and "Left Wing" is "moar Canadian". Tara Strong is from Toronto and she would have been indoctrinated into that hardcore. It's gotten to the point where slightly-right-of-Center Canadians become victims of the No True Canadian--errr, I mean Scotsman, lol--fallacy.

I don't know why studios keep on hiring her, the pool of voices she can do is actually quite limited if you pay attention.

Because she's one of the biggies (hint hint).

In all seriousness, most voice actors have a rather limited range when you really think about it. Most studios and casting directors likely hire them out of their actual acting talent or, as is likely the case with Tara, don't look at their social media.

Canadians have been like this for time immemorial. They were this way during Trudeau the First (Pierre Eliott Trudeau, father of Justin of the Nice Hair). Of course, said same Canadians WILL sperg about Stephen Harper or Brian Mulroney like they were the worst things ever--and worship at the feet of Clinton or Obama.

Also, Tom Kenny and Jim Cummings are the best voice actors of the modern age.

I always feel that certain "celebrities " that are involved with peoples' childhood and nostalgia, get away with saying stupid stuff and acting like a dummy.

A bit off topic, but look at JK Rowling, she sperges about Trump and refugees a lot and most of the time it's not even informative, just her ranting about how evil Trump can be. But because she created Harry Potter, she gets a pass on how she acts online.

It's the same with Tara Strong, she voiced a lot of memorable likable characters that people grew up with, so it becomes hard for people to separate the artist from the art.
