They almost never did if there was anything remotely embarrassing about it, like a suicide or AIDS or, back when people had a supernatural fear of saying the word itself, cancer. It's always been euphemisms like "after a lengthy illness" or calling a suicide an accident.

Looked at his social media, he barely uses it, for some reason there are spanish people commenting, Mom is a hyphen name, no dad pictures, there is a picture of him and Tara at a party. Most photos are him with his family, no shilling for his movie there, he looks too clean to use drugs, I think you may be right, the guy is likely depressed. RIP
