It's always so fucking condescending. That's because they try to walk this tightrope of talking about issues without saying anything negative about anyone in the groups. Shitty individual flaws and choices are phrased as a group dynamic with a societal cause. It makes everyone in those groups look like stupid children.
Example: "These poor people are obese because of bad options available at their local store"
No, dipshit. Alicia is a fatso because she decided she didn't like eating vegetables at 5 years old and has subsisted her whole life on fishsticks, chex mix, and ramen noodles and the rest of her family eats that crap and are fat because she's the one that does all the shopping and cooking. My favorite one was when Gwyneth Paltrow tried to do the SNAP challenge and went to the Whole Foods and bought a bunch of overpriced organic produce that couldn't be made into a proper meal. These people have no fucking clue what it's like to live modestly and think just giving people a bunch of cash will help them spend it better and make other positive life decisions. It's because they just hire experts to do things for them and don't recognize how that shit doesn't translate to anyone else other than the wealthy.
If a poor person's car breaks down, they gotta figure out how to fix that car. If a poor person's roof leaks, they have to climb their ass up there and fix it. If a poor person's diet is all fucked up, they have to learn how to make better meals for themselves. They can't afford to hire a mechanic/roofer/chef to just handle that shit for them like a rich person can. The condescending rich twitter dickheads do not understand that a healthy dose of self-sufficiency is only way these problems get fixed. Look, I agree that specialization is great but the overhead is a bitch. Getting specialists out there at hundreds of dollars an hour to solve everyone's little hiccup in life like they do with rich people just isn't viable. Middle-class and poor people gotta learn to handle their own own responsibilities to a large extent. That's the only way this works.
I have a feeling we're going to see a lot of stuff like this once upper middle class people in places like SF and NY realize the amount they can right off due to local taxes has decreased.

I think the democrats are going to be in a panic because of New Yorkers and Californians might start realizing how much of their money is getting taxed compared to the rest of the nation. It could be a red pill moment for the voting base if the upper and middle class see the rest of the country having a boon and they get fucked by their state.
