TCM Big Screen Classics 2017 - Singin' in the Rain playing Jan 15th and 18th

  • Intermittent Denial of Service attack is causing downtime. Looks like a kiddie 5 min rental. Waiting on a response from upstream.

Heyo, I watch pretentious bullshit on the TCM channel all the time so I got pretty excited when their theatrical rereleases with Fathom Events started to screen in my area last year. I live in the middle of nowhere so I imagine most people in the states could access these showings if they're interested.

It's a bit of a slow start this year but I think the selection starts to pick up by April with North by Northwest. Surprised a little by the inclusion of Smokey and the Bandit and Fast Times at Ridgemont High but those are both anniversaries and they're pretty fun flicks anyway so who cares.

Not sure how long people here would be interested in forking cash to watch movies they could see at home for free but if there's any fellow movie spergs out there I'll be here all year

I have to be the only person on this forum whose family's TV is always tuned to TCM.

All in all, though, I'd prefer to just DVR them or watch them on tape or DVD.

Sometimes I just want to write TCM a check for generally being awesome as fuck.
I learned about Coffin Joe and House (the batshit Japanese movie) from them, they have old World's Fair newsreel things, they've had Bill Rebane marathons, all sorts of great stuff.

I love TCM. Probably the only thing I watch these days other than the occasional HBO program. Looking forward to this.
