I stopped liking DBZA after the Frieza Saga because they stopped trying to be funny and basically tried to make their own little dub with more Marvel-tier quips and really dated internet humor. It doesn't help that they started making some really dumb jokes about certain things somehow being sexist and generally just being very egotistical SJWs.
I think it's very telling that they're struggling to regain their popularity now that they've spent so many years and resources on an abridged series instead of becoming actual voice actors like they want.

They just posted a new video, "My Hero Academia season 1 in 5 minutes".
Despite being 5 minutes long, I stil couldn't finish the video. Its too fucking dry and just isn't that funny outside of one joke aimed at Mineta that I did think was funny.

That's not saying much, though. Mineta is low-hanging fruit, he was practically created to be made fun of.
I think that's wholly responsible for why I thought the joke was funny. IT wasn't a deep joke or overly stated joke, they just flashed his character and instead of a descriptor, he just said he didn't like him.

I liked the entirety of DBZA, I haven't watched it again since it concluded and something tells me I'm gonna hate it if I rewatch so I'll let it stay in my memories where it belongs.
I completely agree with you, I tried giving their original content a watch and found it to be painfully unfunny,

It worked for Kira Buckland, to be fair. She voiced Twilight Sparkle in those PONY.MOV animations, eventually got recognised and ended up with a job voicing 2B in NieR: Automata.

I think the TFS crew's problem isn't that they made DBZA their main project, I think it's that they all made TFS their career. They each should have found a real career in VA, editing, etc. They could have had DBZA as a fun side project.
Had DBZA been a fun side project, I have no doubt that episodes would have taken longer to make; in fact, DBZA may have never gotten to the Cell Saga. Regardless, I do think they would have all been better off than where they are currently: On life support trying to find their next successful project while also living in the glory days of their claim to fame, a parody of a famous Japanese anime.
It does suck to say this because I like DBZA. I do hope that they are all able to find success, even if it isn't under the TFS brand.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, she put in a ton of work over several years and got a job out of it.
TFS crew's problem is owners of DBZ cockblocking them from VA work. They were lazy enough to let the control freak do all their editing work alone, thus giving Toei lots of time to notice they sell DBZA merchandise.
It kind of did work though, I know Lani has done some VA work on the One Piece dub.

I don't think I necessarily disagree with your take, but I do think those are factors that occurred because they put all of their eggs in one basket.
Toei kneecapping TFS damaged them immensely because they made TFS/DBZA the basis for their careers. If DBZA had been a side project, they would have been better off imho.
Not necessarily true. A lot of the main group did manage to get some VA work (including some IPs TOEI have the rights to), though not in any significant roles. GeneralIvan (the voce of DBZA Cooler & Dr. Gero) seems to be one of the exceptions. Guerrero did manage to voice Gecko Moria in One Piece and is the voice of Ainz in Overlord.
The Freeza VA (kuriboh?) got the role in some DBZ multiverse videogame, but I don't know the details - could be either low profile, one-time exception or free work in exchange for publicity.

Little Kuriboh, Lani, Taka and Kaiser were all in Xenoverse 2 as create-a-character voices, which is non-substantive and easy to miss.

I do miss having a new episode of DBZA to look forward to. I dropped off YGOTAS like halfway through but tuned in for every episode of DBZ and while the final season clearly showed their desire to make something "iconic"/self-serious that attention to detail lent itself well to character writing.
I do not know why (propably to advertise their remixes of DBZ songs), but they're currently doing a 24hr stream rip-off of that "lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to".
