Totally agree, but if you go to GIDW's website you would realize that it's not such a small group and that the stricter Bailey's Syndrome guidelines need to be brought back into diagnosing GID, because although some of the benign attention seekers may not be causing too many problems, they are in fact making transsexuals look bad and sucking up good air that should not be going to people who changed their names at least 3-4 times, I know I have a family member who is M2F classic transsexual.

But you have to remember that most of the creepy people watching your kids pee aren't going through the proper channels, they're just slapping on a wig and calling themselves pretty princesses. You're right, but acknowledgement from the mental health community that transsexuality and proper treatment for that is not something you can diagnose on TUMBLR would help to cast out the illegitimacy of the transgender movement. Although a lot of transgender people say stupid stuff like "gender is who I go to bed as and sex is who I go to bed with" they are the first to get up in arms when someone says, "it's not very feminine when you use a penis to insert it somewhere or to rape with it." I wish mental health care professionals would bust up this delusional little boys club and issue a statement saying that Sex and Gender are the same thing and that gender is just an attempt to highlight sexually dimorphic traits or characteristics.

Why not make it a requirement to be undergoing hormone replacement therapy to use a gendered resroom? Creeps aren't going to kill their boners/sex drive just to peep.

That would defeat the purpose since a lot of offenders have used their transgender umbrella to commit their first sex offenders, there are even a few men who have actually claimed TG while in prison pre-everything, started hormones, asked for transfer to a women's prison and then raped actual female inmates (One of them had been convicted of murder) Either way, estrogen is not a good reference point for libido for libido since a woman's libido sky rockets around ovulation (estradiol)...a better way to suppress libido is lower dopamine.

How do you propose we neutralize the the thread of potential offenders without making it more difficult for legitimately trans gendered people to get care?

I honestly don't understand your thesis. A small number of people have claimed to be transgender in order to excuse their crimes. Does that mean the next time someone uses god as an excuse to commit a crime we should pass laws making it harder to be Christian?

I'm not sure even that would "work," but there really has to be some sane middle ground between beating people up for going to the "wrong" restroom and saying if John Wayne Gacy claims to be female he should be allowed to wander around buck naked with a giant boner in a women's room.

You are supposed to see a therapist and get paperwork and have all your legal Ids changed before you use these restrooms. You are not entitled to just throw on a wig and go into the ladies bathroom its not supposed to work that way.

I agree Amelia and appreciate your honesty, but delusion does not allow people to respect and appreciate boundries which is why this whole trans-movement has become a very quiet laughing stock. Cross Dressing males Gay and Straight were once just that, cross dressing dudes, now they like to call themselves, trans gender-queer. A lot of late transitioners "lesbian souls" (not all) still act like men and threaten "TERFS" anyone else with death just because they point out a biological reality and why they feel uncomfortable with any kind of male symbolism, and because of that people are no longer respecting boundaries, legitimacy, or reality. Even our own Chris who we know at least with an 80-100 percent chance of accuracy only has papers for autism has probably used the women's restroom and maybe even a broom closet to evacuate his messies.
