Prison doesn't cure shit...he's still the same like most criminals, only now he has the weight of the state bearing down on him to prevent him from reoffending. Prisons in the US aren't designed for that. They are designed for exploiting cheap labor, nothing more. If prisons in the states actually gave a shit about rehabilitation, they'd be closer in design to European prisons (one of the few things they get right over there) instead of the Mad Max poopoo peepee rape factories that they currently are.
