Also anyone know any artists similar to hate forest? The 2020 album hour of the centaur was probably my top album of 2020 check it out if you like really loud black metal.

While I'm not familiar with them, Death Fortress is a name that gets tossed around a lot when people talk about bands similar to Hate Forest. Roman's other band Precambrian is also in a similar vein of pummeling black metal.

Saviour Machine's debut is excellent. Unfortunately, they toned down the metal and got more symphonic immediately after and ran with it. I do like the stuff that came after, but it's not as good. Legend III:I is probably the next best album.

Really really similar: Drudkh

Kinda similar: Walknut, Burzum (obviously), Branikald, Forest (Rus)

Not really similar but also among the handful of notable Ukrainian BM bands: Astrofaes, Duk Buk, Lucifugum, Nokturnal Mortum

He's a keeper. Listened to King's Abigail 2 today while I was out. Not one of his better albums for sure.

Would recommend listening to the album Gin by Cobalt to anyone who hasn't checked it out. One of the only black metal records I think most people can enjoy whether they like black metal or not. Also one of the few black metal bands where you can actually make out what the fuck they're saying.
