Hello there Kiwis! This event has been in the works since this past weekend, and so far two other people who I will not publicly name just yet until I talk to them further are currently helping me with it. This is going to be a marathon of a bunch of hilarious cheesy movies, some holiday themed, some not that is scheduled to start on from Christmas Eve tomorrow and wrap up on January 4th.
I'm hoping to make Christmas day a particularly special day for this marathon, given that the forums are going to be down for the day and it might be a fun opportunity for some Kiwi forumers to get together and mingle.
I will update this thread with further information sometime later today or early tomorrow.
Update: We meet again Kiwis! I have some news and some plans! Waifu and Artard are both helping me out with this event as much as they can, in the midst of all of us working on our own holiday stuff at home.
Any help you fellow forum users can give us would be greatly appreciated!
Particular areas of help we'd want are chat room moderators to keep things in check when me, Waifu, and Artard are offline, preferably in different time zones to make sure the experience is good for everyone, and people who have knowledge in cheesy films. Feel free to suggest films, we'll try to keep a list in this thread!
The plan for playlists is a quick Christmas themed short or music video before the start of three films. Again, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
So far there are only two rules and I hope it stays that way. They are as follows.
1. No drama or shit flinging will be tolerated under any circumstances.
We're all friends here and we're all capable of acting like adults. Remember, 'tis the season to be jolly.
2. Do not post NSFW links without a clear warning before hand.
This is pretty self explanatory. Don't link to anything you wouldn't want your co-workers, your boss, or anyone in the house to lean over your shoulder and see without a very clear warning beforehand.
