He's been losing subs for a while now, though most are migrating to his other channel, Deep Fat Fried (DFF) as he slowly stops making content for his old channel. You also have to remember that a vast majority of those subscribers are likely legacy subs/inactive accounts. Really, Youtube analytics are some of the least reliable stats known to man.
That's probably true. But I've just checked the DFF channel and it isn't doing all too well either.
Since November 2020 their channel has more or else stopped growing. And after some three years the channel is losing subscribers again.
They've reached their peak around January with more or less 47'300 subscribers, but now they're back around 47'300 subscribers. Of course this doesn't mean that they won't grow anymore. The number of subscribers is only declining slowly and they might recover again. But at least this shows us that TJ and friends' pandering to the far left wasn't as fruitful as they might have thought.
Former friends "Hannah" and Jake are sinking in solidarity with TJ.
Compare this to one of the hundred based Brett Keane channels who who saw an increase of subscribers from 20 to 23 in two months.
It even seems that Brett Keane profited from the cultural revolution of last summer lol (even though the channel has only an introduction video to his vidme channel)

Just imagine if this was the economy of a country: In one month you make some growth just to almost lose it all again at the end of the month. And this not just once, but every month. It seems that they probably are able to attract some new patrons, but at the same time lose a lot of old patrons as well.

TJ sounds so obnoxious in this. I'm willing to bet that this animator 'friend' of his will get tired of his shit very quickly and TJ will make himself look like the victim, like he always does.
There is no way this will last. TJ is too lazy to keep it going, and eventually he'll have some bad falling out with whoever it is that he's doing this with.

Reading through that reminded me of something similar he did many years ago with @Someguy827 and MustDestroyAll:
TLDR: MDA made a video criticizing Smosh for asking for donations when he was a big-name youtuber and had plenty of money to scrounge up for a video game project that in the end never got made. TJ left a comment that criticized MDA, SG defended him, and TJ admitted he did it only to stir up drama and get a reaction. SG rightfully called him out for being a hypocrite and a troll.
Needless to say, TJ has proven to be a gaslighting piece of shit who will stir up drama literally just for his own amusement. Here's a tip, TJ: admitting yourself to being an attentionwhore and a troll doesn't make anyone respect you. It just makes you look like an asshole.

They make a pretty good income with the Deepfat Fried podcast. That bubble is going to burst eventually. Either Paul will get too depressed and or psychotic to go on, or the subscribers will get so bored with them going through the motions, that it'll crash. Maybe the cartoon is TJ's 'back up, plan B' in preparation for that day. What an idiot. If he would learn a trade he could maybe have chance except for his rotten personality.
That is a very odd defense tactic he uses. I've noticed he does it with a lot of different things. He will incorporate the bad shit he does into making jokes at his expense. I think he does it so that people will not take the severity of his behavior seriously.
He used to do it a lot back on DP with his e-begging controversies. He constantly makes jokes that he's a scammer or references controversies of his in a joking manner. It's to register in people's minds that it's funny and not to be taken as a seriously as it should be taken.
I remember in a video years ago TJ said he mentally stopped aging at I think it was 17? And his twitter and his ideology really reflects that. He jumps from one thing to another and tries to shock as many people as he can. He has never held a real job in his life (He did do a weeks work of office shit at his dads company but yeah) and dropped out of highschool. He is a man who's never had to be an adult.

He's been pretty open about that for the longest time and wears it like some badge of honor. I'll never understand that.
I think it's more than just a matter of him never growing up (although he certainly never has); his parents obviously never smacked some sense into him and made him drop the attitude. There are plenty of teenagers who go through that "fuck everything, life is pointless, working is for chumps" phase, but the difference is most of them grow out of it. Either they find something they want to do with their lives and work to pursue that goal, or their parents tell them to straighten up, fly right, and force them to get a job and make something of themselves.
Without divulging too much about myself, I went through a phase once where I thought the idea of working was stupid because, in my mind, "we all die in the end anyway." My parents straightened me out pretty quickly because, yes, we all die, but the difference is if we make a difference in the world, people will remember us. And now, I'm getting a promotion at my current job after working there for 2 years, and I hope to get another one soon.
I don't think TJ ever had that kind of talk with his parents, or with anyone for that matter. By all accounts, his parents encouraged him to live like a leech and never get out of the house. His father even supported his decision to drop out of high school, while his mom never put up a fight about it. I don't think he ever finished school or got any kind of degree. Even a GED can get you pretty far, but not having anything at all pretty much relegates you to being a nobody doing grunt work at best.
When he does croak, I guarantee no one will remember him. He's never made a difference in anything. All he's done with his life is make videos on the internet that are all basically the cringiest of cringe, shove a banana up his ass, and scam people for hundreds of thousands of dollars. He'll die alone and in a shallow grave.

This girl had, at that time, so many real-life problems that it really can't be understated how fucked up it all really is. The BeardedStarFish thread should be enough for you to put 2+2 together regarding her personality, and she had mentioned to me many times that she found Kirk attractive, usually unprompted. Infact she introduced me to him.
Obviously I dropped that shit the second we broke up, and despite being atheist am now a lot more respectful towards the practically endangered religious background I have, since it's honestly amazing to me that my family have preserved their religion since Cromwell by uprooting their entire lives and literally running around Britain with it attached to horses for four hundred years.
