I think capitalising on African american culture by having it perform by white or light skinned people is a longstanding problem . The fact black consumers are attracted to it is a byproduct not a main goal.

Plenty of their detracters , try to hide their hair structure and minimise the "ugly" race characteristics like nose shape and skin tone None of the insta thots are getting nose widening procedures or melanin shots or tight perms.

They're getting lip injections , breast and butt implants , standard markers of sexual attractiveness. They're dressing in mainstream fashion. They're emulating tans becouse its a perceived marker of health and beauty and naturally getting them is unhealthy.
