It's noted that the sex offending one is having another Twitter whinge and only receiving engagement from bog-brush-hair-of-Basingstoke. Was he planning to go to Poland or did he have to come up with a cunning plan after being dobbed in? It’s a nice Catholic country, he should be able to find a fellow nonce in any of the churches. Anyway, no matter. As I don’t have a criminal record, I was granted the relevant visas and was able to breeze through immigration on my next visit.

ETA: the reason that I frequently have receipts is because my life is busy with job and kids and it’s therefore really easy to account for my time. It’s no great conspiracy!

An ESTA is a visa waiver. It was completely suitable for my trip which was a conference. It was granted then withdrawn, due to a malicious complaint that I was travelling for journalistic purposes and therefore needed a media visa. I wasn’t.

Anyway why do you think future travel for different trips would be the same itinerary?

No. I was travelling to deliver signatures on a petition as part of a team and then for a conference. It was a business trip which was covered by an ESTA. I was told by that subsequent trips of a similar nature were also covered by ESTA but they issued a visa, simply because I was there, had done the application and it was the neatest solution.

Everyone else in my organisation was travelling on an ESTA. A mole on my FB took screenshots, tipped off the embassy that I was on the “wrong visa” and then several Twitter accounts boasted about it, including one called “Tock Tickety”, which also posted photos of prison bars and gloated that my family was going to be penniless, my children were going to ask “mummy why are we poor” and that they would be referred to social services while I was in prison.

Situation normal then. Still. All over! As I said. I emerged with my sanity, my family and my finances intact.
