The Chandler Household on Halloween -

Sorry if this is being discussed in another thread already.

What do you think the Chandlers will be doing this Halloween? Surely Barb wouldn't give kids candy, and Chrissy is just as lazy. I foresee a night full of stress sighs and troll accusations from Chris to innocent kids. That is of course if kids don't outright ignore the Chandler's house all together.

From what I understand the neighborhood is mostly made of elderly people, not families with young kids. So they probably wouldn't get trick or treaters either way.

They wouldn't decorate it, though Barb probably has Halloween junk laying around in the horde. The place looks scary enough without decorations. Chris could go to some community events for Halloween, but won't, or Barb would guilt trip him.

So basically another day in a bug infested horde with dead cat skeletons, dogs that aren't house trained, and playing viyda, while stress sighing.

Accounts on the population of Ruckersville hint that its inhabited by elderly shut ins, so my guess would be that there are not enough kids to have a proper Halloween, surely if there are any they go to party somewhere else.

You beat me to it! We had a house like that in my neighborhood when I was growing up. The paint was peeling, the house was overgrown with thorn bushes and ivy, the grass hadn't been cut in years, and there was all kinds of crap in the front yard. We kids used to make up tales that varied from crazy people / serial killers lived there, to the house being haunted. Kids would often dare each other to go up to the front door and ring the bell. The house was very popular on Halloween.

CANDY IS EXPENSIVE! Besides it's been reported there are no kids in their neighborhood so no trick-or-treaters to chase away. I don't think 14 Branchland Court has properly celebrated any holiday in years.

Chris doesn't have to worry about just kids. There are people who visit decayed and abandoned structures because they are usually scarier than "haunted" houses.
