I've been talking in chat about a little rabbit hole I've been fixated on lately, and it's all about how the Chinese have been hybridizing the human genome with pigs, monkeys, and also doing splices of monkeys and pigs, for the end goal of harvesting organs. There are plenty of videos and articles online about the ethics and theory involved in fucking with nature like this, but that doesn't matter because the Chinese are already doing it, and I'm sure they're not alone. Do we really need to breed a human-animal hybrid to have organs made?

Well, I dunno about you, but when it comes to creating organs for transplant, there are plenty of ways to skin that cat without resorting to animal violence. I like the idea of cloning, myself. That way, you're not stuck on anti-rejection meds for the rest of your life

So, how do you guys feel about that? Is this okay? What happens if they develop sapience? What if Ancaps take the wheel of history and they start producing furry sex slaves whose genome is the intellectual property of some corporation somewhere and if you impregnate it, its unholy child becomes the express property of this corporation? These are questions being asked, and boy howdy do they need answers because thinking about this too much is giving me a newfound depth to the sensation of disgust.
