This is an exercise to get our communal creative juices flowing, and it’s a bit high-concept but I think we’ll be able to handle it. The idea is one poster will make a creative request presented (for showmanship’s sake) in the form of “show me [blank]” where [blank] is a concept the poster wants to see created. The concept can be an idea (“an unexpected ending”) or a thing (“Chris looking cool”) and someone reading the thread will supply the request in a creative form. This can include a short story, a poem, a drawing, a video clip, a short song – anything goes as long as it follows the following rules:
1) It must be 100% user-generated. The point is to get creative, not trying to re-post clever or funny material others have made.
2) Both requests and fulfillments must be tasteful (nothing overtly gory, sexual or otherwise offensive). Anyone should feel comfortable carrying out the request, so play nice and try not to be too esoteric.
3) Keep it fairly brief. I think the thread will be healthiest if submissions take around 10 to 45 minutes to create, and this should be kept in mind when making requests.
Ideally, posters get to make a request after they’ve supplied a submission themselves.
