I feel sorry for anyone who watches footage of some innocent dude getting hit by a car, or beaten to death, or attacked and killed by an animal and doesn't feel any sympathy for that person. It doesn't make you cool. It means you've lost part of your humanity somewhere along the way and you'll probably never find it again.

I'd like to think that dude is bullshitting but the internet has this strange tendency to bring the worst truths about a person to light, often of their own volition.
