Juts picked up the division 2 and i'm having trouble playing main missions solo. I have to constantly queue with random kids who don't know what the fuck they'redoing because the damn enemies are fucking bullet sponges and will rush the shit out of you before you can even reload. Shouldn't have bought this trash.

I would have thought that gamers with half of a brain would avoid Ubisoft shovelware like the plague after the millionth Assassin's Creed and Far Crys and with the "up your ass microtransactions." Better hope that you, OP, didn't buy this game from Gamestop, heard that their refund policy is tough as nails.

Bought it from the PS Store?. At least game stop would give me a used condom for it.

I got The Division 2 for free with a video card (as well as REmake 2, I passed on DMC5, only played 3 and hated it)

I fucking love it. I'm glad I didn't listen to other people in my life like in this thread turning their noses up at it. I know nothing about the first one, don't know where it faulted and if anything had been fixed.

I just know I'm having a good time, put about 15 hours in the last three days.

As for the creator of this thread. The story missions are designed for at least 2 people. Loot is naitive so you don't have to worry about them taking your drops. Just run with randos, ~16 levels in and nothing has taken the coordination needed for a friend group. At worst they are bullet sponges keeping the heat off yourself.

In the greens, weapons did seem to scale a little wonky. Look for a single fire SCAR rifle with damage in the 500s. I had a lvl 3 I've that lasted me until blues started dropping. Pay attention to gear manufacturers, they are all set items, and you can complete two sets because they are all 3 groups. With your next skill unlock the healing chem launcher, set it to Q and double tap every time you are behind cover. It has 3 charges, recharges every 20 seconds, and heals about half your armor. It's completely insane utility that almost invalidates the much more limited Armor Packs, and while not breaking the game, makes early combat 300% more survivable.

As someone who's done 99.999% of The Division 1's content solo as well as Co-Op runs later, Solo is basically Trial and Error until you learn the pattern or get a weapon drop to counter the level of hostiles. Once you get the hang of it, it's fine, but sometimes, you'll have to leave a mission until you get a level above it, and that's not a bad thing.
Also do this

It's completely insane utility that almost invalidates the much more limited Armor Packs, and while not breaking the game, makes early combat 300% more survivable.

And set Shield to E or RB. Use the Crusader, you miss out on some cover but you can use most weapons with it so it's useful as hell.
If Pulse was good like it was in the first, I'd say use that, but Pulse is shit in this one.

Enemies are sponge because you're in groups at low level. Entire swarms of the end game enemies just melt if the players know what they're doing.

Run solo for a bit, keep a turret and heal skill handy. Keep your weapon up to date - you'll quickly realise enemies are just as fragile as you when approached right.

A majority of the skills feel a little underwhelming, but I think they're suppose to be more situational than your main activity. Currently I'm using Firefly in the mode that targets weak points, great for those Molotov fuckers behind cover.

Just got into the Dark Zone PVP areas. I'm not Chad enough to go Rogue. Not that I've had a problem killing them (except one who I'm guessing was a developed sharpshooter specialization that one hit KOed me), I just feel shitty stealing others stuff. Was fun when I encountered a few randos and we went Rogue hunting though. So far the loot is good, the but I dunno if it's better enough for the effort.

Also encountered my first Sledge tank, two at once. That was a bitch, not enough to down all four of us at once, but we were shuffling standing and crawling for a bit before we adapted.

Are the people that give you quests as insufferable as I have been led to believe? They sound insufferable.

I dunno man, if you think a Gruff Soldier is out of place or threatening in this genre then you might have some issues. The game doesn't treat her as anything special or weird, just like every other character.

Division 2 has made massive improvements over the first title. There's tons of things to do while you're leveling if you get bored of mission/side mission. It was a lot more enjoyable than the first game. The end game is a lot better than the first title as well. It's definitely worth playing if you even remotely enjoyed the first one. The AI difficulty in the game is exactly where it needs to be in Division 2. There are maybe 2 instances in the game where I had a genuinely rough time getting through a phase of a side mission while playing solo. The main missions are a joke if you have any sort of grasp how the stats in the game work and how your gear works and you can matchmake those as well. One thing I've noticed through my leveling up experience and the first bit of end game is that people don't use the cover system as much as they should and don't fully understand how it works. The game will punish you for glossing over this.
