I am writing this primarily to try and articulate my own political beliefs, because I have found you really cannot understand what you believe unless you actually write it down and see it in written words. And you cannot really believe it unless other people read those words and challenge them.

I am also reminded of the quote from the Mistborne Trilogy that sticks to my brain years later. "I write these words in Steel. For anything not written in metal cannot be trusted". For all its flaws, this place is one of the last free bastions in the West where the written word is sacred and will not be deleted or changed retroactively. So here we go.


At a fundamental level our society is under attack.

I open with this simple statement because it underpins the entire framework of our political landscape. This simple truth is made all the worse by the fact that the people doing the attacking think they are doing it for the very best of intentions. Which also makes them the most pernicious of tyrants. We refer to these people in the shorthand as "social justice warriors", which is a gross simplification and in my view also diminishes the threat by implying our society is being undone by fat blue haired women with no boyfriends. In truth it is actually a mass movement of collectivist belief systems that are seeking at every level to undo the narrative framework of western civilization and replace it with a new order. one not based on individual liberty but on group consensus, and the subordination of the individual to it.

This moral framework of "Equity" comes from Marxism and argues that individual outcomes are not as morally justifiable as group outcomes. It is a prepackaged quasi religious belief, and it is spreading like wildfire. Go to any urban center, and instead of American flags on the porch you will be seeing the flags of various Groups. Like Pride flags as an example. You will also see a lawn sign I particularly detest that is essentially the declaration of faith of this new political order.

I despise everything about this declaration of faith. And it IS declaration of faith. A group declaration. It says it right at the beginning "We Believe". We Believe is different from a more authoritative statement. "It is True". When you say you believe something you are appealing to faith not reason. It is a religious catechism, not a statement of fact. And this declaration of faith is one of a series of collective group identities and articles of faith. It also stands in opposition to the fundamental moral framework of the American State, as America is predicated on the notion of a single unified people not delineated by group identities.

Worse then this however is the implicit menace in the prayer. The implication that while the people of this house believe these things, there are people out there who do not. Such as myself. They caveat all these lies with the blanket Amen of Love is Love and Kindness is Everything. Implying that everyone who refuses to engage in their lies are not just wrong, they are morally bankrupt. Incapable of Love and Kindness itself. These signs and the prayer on them are sinister in the extreme and if you have a viscerally painful reaction to seeing them I have now explained why. The person who put those signs on their lawn has stated publicly that if you disagree with them, then you are a threat. A threat to be removed by force if necessary because you are beyond their conception of the moral order.

Up until this point the moral framework of western civilization of which the USA is a component has been on the divinity of the individual. That an individual has value in the eyes of God. Even in the dark days of feudalism this was understood. A Lord did not have an obligation to the group. He had an obligation to obey the individual sovereign, and care for the individuals placed under his responsibility. The liberal revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries were not efforts to overturn this belief system. They were efforts to make them more applicable in the face of the Aristocracies' betrayal of that responsibility. And they succeeded. The Landed aristocrats were dispossessed of power and in their place a new ruling class drawn from urban merchant class replaced them. Under the belief that they would be able to steer the moral framework of our society better. They have failed.

The merchant class of the West has fallen into the same corruption for power that the landed nobles fell into hundreds of years ago. They want the benefits of power, and none of the responsibilities that come with it. Chief among which is that they are answerable to every filthy peasant on the street. It is no surprise then that this new collectivist ideology on the left has so much support among the modern Aristocracy. If they do not have a responsibility to the individual and just the group, they do not need to care if YOU live or die. The only thing that matters is the perpetuation of the State, and your opinion no longer matters. This is why all collectivist states inevitably devolve into tyranny. And it is why the western democracies will become Tyrannies as the collectivist message of group identities becomes more applied in law and culture. Because a society that does not respect the sanctity of the individual is one who will treat individual lives as so many numbers on a ledger book.

The most pernicious part of this is that our traditional tools of individual freedom and our own emotional empathy have been weaponized to spread this belief of collectivist outcome over the individual. Those of us who believe in free expression are poorly adapted to dealing with a situation in which we are contending with ideas that want to fundamentally destroy us and have no desire for cohabitation.

This relationship is on full display in the furor over the teaching of critical theory in the public schools. The same people pushing these ideas are aghast that conservatives in favor of Free Speech would dare try to silence them, but when a teacher in Loudoun County, Virginia has the audacity to say at a school board meeting his deeply held religious convictions compel him to not call biological males female, he is promptly fired. Never mind the fact the school board itself stated the purpose of this meeting was to get input. That teacher was promptly fired.

In all collectivist states, the point of a political forum is not for individuals to state their opinions, it is for the group consensus to be affirmed. And that affirmation is pre determined. An individual like that Virginia Teacher speaking his own mind is not an act of virtue to collectivist morality. It's a crime, and one that is to be published severely. To see the same things that played out in China and Russia repeated in America is distressing in the extreme. It makes me fear that if we have not already gone past the point where this will lead to violence, it is a point we are rapidly approaching.

Because I refuse to live in a society where my individual soul is subordinate to a collective. This is not a repudiation of community, but it is a simple statement that I am a part of a community. I help to define what my community is. The community does not define who I am. I have agency. I do not need to be told what my role is or what my responsibilities are. And if I am put in a position where I am to be made to assume a role, I will rebel. This mindset incidentally has been what as made the US military so fearsome on the battlefield. Voluntarily giving up individual freedoms to be a warrior for those who do not is a potent brew. It's something I did and it actually helped to shape my view on just why the people who support individualism are presently losing. And it is one word.

We have focused so much on what our rights are that we have ignored the responsibilities that come with them. The people who put those odious "We Believe" signs and Pride flags on their property have chosen to side against people like me who believe society is a collection of individuals rather then a subordination of groups. Me and my next door neighbor are individuals but we exchanged phone numbers so we can come to each other's mutual support if needed. Not because we share racial or family ties, but because we have to live next to each other. As such we have a shared responsibility for each others safety. This is what all stable societies emerge from. All stable and Free societies anyway.

And this is what the Urban Merchants do not understand. In the liberal revolutions they were the most powerful of the dispossesed classes, as they had wealth and immediate access to the bases of the monarchies power in the cities. It is for this reason when the monarchies were overthrown they assumed power. And due to the fact that the church was joined at the hip to the monarchies the Urban Merchants dispossessed the Clergy along with their nobles. They did not just seize political power, they seized cultural power too.

The end result being an absolute explosion of economic growth over the last 300 years. But we are now starting to see the price. God has been driven from his temple. The culture and faith now exist to serve the State, which all exist for one single purpose. To make money for those in power. A perverse inversion of the feudal Era is being implemented as we speak, as millions of people are willingly being put back into serfdom, only this time with their bondage contracted as Leasing agreements and debt. Over all of this, just as the church of Christ came to justify the degradations of the nobility a new religion of secular humanism is being imposed by our new Lord's to legitimize their divine mastery of our lives. I think your own belief in god has you projecting a lot, these people for the most part aren't religious zealots they're normies who want to fit in. Yes there are wokedavidians as there are zealots of every faith, but much like your average catholic most people with these flags/signs just want to appear morally correct or "on the right side of history". I think what you are mistaking for an actual coordinated force in society is merely rot on a species-wide scale. Consider your perspective as that of a still living cell where the larger organism has been killed. Neurological activity has ceased to function, and the heart has stopped beating, but it takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours for every last cell to actually die. During this time, the entire body comes under attack from millions of microscopic creatures that were previously held at bay but the immune system. What remains of the immune system kills off what it can, but once the immune cells run out or run out of resources such as oxygen and energy, they too succumb to the onslaught and the invaders move on to devouring blood and tissue cells.

This is what we are witnessing on a society-wide scale. The reality is that the brain and nervous system of society is dead, and the era we are living in now is that split second between when the brainstem stops functioning and the heart stops beating. At least most of us will be dead by then from the starvation of essential resources which the corpse can no longer supply.
