  • 1. Completely zero reaction images/vids: Any post with just a reaction image/vid will be deleted.

Well, to be fair they do have a purpose: to incite a laugh, and a lot of time it succeeds in that goal.

Mostly they're just useless and contribute nothing to the conversation, the definition of a shitpost.

Image reaction spamming is part of why this subforum has a bad reputation and some users consider it "the kiddy section".

I think I've seen image/videos on other forums as well. Although I doubt though about there being that many. Anyway every single post being a reaction image wouldn't be good, but if placed correctly people can laugh.

If a post is nothing but a reaction image/video though, it's completely worthless. The forum's rating system does a pretty good job of letting you react to other users. If you're reacting to content brought up in a post, but you can only come up with a reaction image instead of something to discuss then you're probably not saying something that needs to be said.

Can't argue with that. The reason I think people do that is for extra lulz, but yeah, it doesn't really contribute much to discussion.
