In Australia, we had an inquiry re: the 19-20 summer bushfires, handed down in August of this year, the overall findings were basically lightening strikes lit the largest fires, due to dry conditions and overabundant undergrowth.

They will tell you plain as day, that it wasn't "what conservative/right wingers" said about the Greens not allowing back-burning (a documented fact) and it wasn't lightening strikes, it was climate change.

They fail to accept that climates change, naturally. Yes, habitation plays a part, but so does directly neglecting to clear out dry undergrowth.

There are literally dozens of people arrested for setting wildfires every single time a major fire makes the news. People do it for their own sociopathy and then when it gets the headlines other people join them.

There's a distinction between saying that this arson is done under command of Antifa leadership getting their marching orders from George Soros and saying that it's being done by the exact same population of shiftless degenerates that have been looting and burning under the flag of Antifa/BLM for months now. The only relation to climate change is that it's a little more dry at the coast every year, the trade winds are shifting and yes, the climate is changing. It's possible that's because of human activity, but the fact that it's changing isn't seriously disputed.

There are fires every year. The inland forests here are adapted to it. Some of these trees need fire, in fact. So you can't blame all the fires on climate change at all.

The coastal ones, you can say "there are worse fires every year because there's less rain due to climate change" but anything beyond that is uncertain. Defunding fire prevention and forest management through BLM, and privatizing big areas of forest (which means cheap bullshit in handing it, to max out profits) is another big issue. More so in CA than OR, but it's still a thing.

There are more tard-raging pyros out there this year, more idiots going into the woods because they can't do things in crowds because of covid, there's bound to be more fires when the crazies and cows are stressed.
