The movie is filled with characters no one cares about, even comic book fans. At best this will make $450m world wide. Even the plot of the movie will keep people away. There's not even enough Deviants to make an interesting movie.
Only Eternal that ever did anything important was Sersi. They're going to fight Deviants, there's like one Deviant worth putting in the movie.

While I won't say that it will flop so hastily, I have to say that as much as I like Kirby I was never even remotely interested in the Eternals, and I read the original Ms. Marvel and pre-Byrne She-Hulk.
New Gods were better. Same idea but I believe Kirby had more control. Marvel wanted to do the New Gods the "Marvel way".
The scene in the trailer basically confirmed the leak was true and I'm screaming. This is gonna be a shitfest. I mean even worse than the worst rated mcu films. They are trying it with the cast but at the end of the day its a fucking mess.
Also Richard Madden is fucking pathetic. He may or may not be gay irl. But he's totally trying to be a sellout and he gets passes only because of his appearance. If he was half as attractive you know he wouldn't be getting shit.

This is the one movie in the upcoming slate that has the most going against it, but I’m betting on a TROS performance where it spends months crawling to $1B, except unlike TROS it’ll never hit it.
Like, it would be really, really funny if it was a total flop, but I still think people are going to watch it out of inertia.
I doubt it'll be a Heaven's Gate style failure but there's no way it reaches even close to $1B, it'll do Antman numbers at best.

There are like ten characters, how long will this thing be? I think it could work, ancient aliens is a fun concept, in an alternate dimension sort of way, with a couple of movies to set things up, or as a series, but just shoving a bunch of nobodies into the mcu seems stupid, as others have pointed out, where were they when the world needed saving?
It'll just be cut outable scenes for foreign release or actually just a declaration since Disney will want foreign bucks, and outside of the west, the clear majority of the world still hates the gays.

I think the production will be similar to Black Panther. The original movie had 4 hours to show all characters and to give exposition. But a bunch of it was heavily cut down on the editing table; causing the movie to suffer with paper-thin characters and unexplained plot-points. Even though I still think that Black Panther would have sucked either way.
