To the contrary, I've seen OPs that suck; this is actually a pretty good OP. Sure, it's just one incident, but a lot of threads on communities here seem to start with a single incident that finally became the tipping point, that just exemplifies a lot of other underlying problems in the community. I think you should keep it up, if there's any other wacky incidents that you know about with the community talk about them.
There have definitely been other incidents. Most notably: One of the titles you can give your profile on the game is "Abusive", someone made a thread in an attempt to get it removed. Staff denied, hell ensued. I'll take a look at that situation and edit the thread with it, lol.

I think an all encompassing petsite community watch could be interesting. I know FR particularly is fucking rabid over pixels.
Yeah and I feel like it would be a great addition to Beauty Parlor, or we could get their help on a lot of it. These games are like crack for women of a certain age group. All the girls I dated in high school were absolutely neck deep in these online dragon breeding circles and Gaia Online evolving pet threads, and they kept up with them well into their college years.

Honestly the whole place kind of reminds me of the Closed Species community. While not as cuthroat when it comes to prices per se, you still need to dig deep (either out of your wallet or patience) to save up enough to customise your very own sparklelion.
Seconding this. I used to love petsites as a kid and they can be an absolute goldmine of lolz if you look for long enough. But at the end of the day they're all usually centered around the same sort of drama involving markings, items, elitism and so on and so forth.

There are some really interesting cow crossovers from the petsites. Zcralo was in those furry bestiality/zoophile and pedophile groups on Telegram (not sure about zoosadist but definitely was a necrozoo), and they were in nazifur groups. They were an artist on Wajas for a long ass time and caused shit tons of drama on FR that led to them getting forum-banned.

I can imagine this kind of behaviour just causes the artists behind the site to not bother creating anything new from fear of backlash and this is how the site dies. Literally why would you want to do anything when it has to meet the specific approval of tumblr bureaucrats, lest they scream and piss and shit all over the walls for not getting their way
The original design wasn't even anywhere near trypophobia and was more or less as offensive as your grandmother's floral cushions with how noisy it was.
