I cant remember who said it first, or the original wording of the quote but this saying really does sum up the whole sorry state of organisations like the ADL and SPLCYet another useless organization trying to justify it's existence by doing useless things like write shit articles.
Does this make the world a better or at least different place? Does explaining all of this actually educate someone on something important besides what a bunch of exceptional individuals say on the internet?
All these organisations should have wound down after the 60s and the civil rights movement into merely watchdog groups keeping a look out for any attempts to reimpose jim crow style legislation and/or shifted focus entirely to shit like gay rights, and once legal discrimination ended and social discrimination waned to a fading fringe they should have ceased operations and fundraising or changed focus to advocating for equal rights abroad.Demand for hate and bigotry far outstrips the supply of hate and bigotry
Is that really hyperbole when, starting in the late 19th century, that was actually an avowed goal of zionists, and those techniques were techniques that they specifically declared desire to implement? I think it's safe to say those viewpoints back then were mostly correct. It turns out anti-semitism results from accurately assessing history and its geopolitical actors, so fighting anti-semitism is ultimately a fight against truth and reality, and that is, in a roundabout way, the purpose of the ADL; so I think in that aspect they are not at all like those old pro segregation groups.Which, ironically enough, makes them quite identical to the old pro segregation groups they claimed to be fighting back in the 50s/60s who based so much of their rhetoric on "evil and depraved and perverted counter-culture interlopers are stirring up millions of mindless negroes and using them to overthrow our decent and fair social order and plan to commit unspeakable atrocities on upstanding white people!" schtick. Same hyperbolic demonization of outside opinions, same ultra-broad vilification of demographics considered "the enemy within" and same attempts to spread panic and hysteria with claims of planned atrocities by these groups.
