Data loss - 28th October 2014
Unfortunately there has been a catastrophic failure at Vocaroo and a large number of messages have been lost. A backup system also failed.

Please note that the info and help pages have always clearly stated that Vocaroo shouldn't be used for very important things, and that messages may get lost or corrupted.

Some further data recovery is being attempted, however it's looking quite likely that nothing will be recoverable.

As a fairly small and niche website, Vocaroo simply does not have and has never claimed to have the reliability and failure resistance that other larger websites may provide.
