I recently went to a store to find a plant hanger for my mom. At the checkout line they were selling the damn things for $9.99 each. Either they didn't get the memo or they're determined to get as much profit out of them as they can for as long as they can. Something tells me they'll still be there even after Christmas.

I'm sure it'll take a while for this to trickle through.

my dad was at marc's (a kind of closeout store in the states, like big lots if you have any near you) and bought fidget spinners for my family at 79 cents each like two months ago. he was amused by them. for some reason.

but yeah, around here there are still places selling them for 5 or even 10 bucks a pop, and i'm honestly surprised they haven't just thrown them in the clearance bin for a tenth the price. they aren't particularly fancy spinners either, so i doubt they sunk much money into them.

I think Pogs not only lasted longer but made a more lasting impression than fidget spinners did. They had more entertainment value too since you could actually play with other people.

Ahhhh, pogs. I remember those! Now that's some autism I can get behind! I remember there was a special fixation on any pogs with a skull on them. "Poison Pogs" was our nickname for them.
They were the Marbles of the 90s. Slammers were the shooters/mashers.
