The Forest -

The Forest (actual name of the game) created by Endnight Games, is a survival horror sandbox game. The developers said that it was inspired by Minecraft and Don't Starve.

I tried the game out and I pretty much enjoy it. You're basically stranded on an island and you need to build lots of stuff. It's in early access right now, so be sure to expect missing animations, glitches, and weird stuff happening.

I ran up to a bunch of mutants in the beginning and beat them to death without bothering to do any exploration or gathering. I figured out very soon that you could make totems out of their corpses, light that shit on fire, and use their decomposing legs as weapons. The next 2 hours I spent fighting off super fucking aggressive mutants with their body parts while continually making new totems and lighting them on fire. It was fun until they stopped coming for some reason. Then I quit because I don't like survival games.

I played a while ago in a group along with three friends, we had a great time. It's a lot of fun if you can get some organisation going since building requires a lot of tree chopping and log moving. Cave exploring as a group was a blast too, we went on a huge expedition

Only two of us made it that far, and we both starved to death before we could get back out.
I haven't been following updates very closely but it seems that they've only been adding minor stuff. Waiting on a big content addition to play some more.
