Imagine if somebody were to co-opt all of Jay's stuff. He'd have to break silence, wouldn't he?

Theoretically speaking of course, since at the same time, if he has any intention of returning, he'd need to change that copyright purely for self-validation because heaven help the person trying to co-opt his self-insert shit for their own personal gain ala what Chris thinks the burned documents ended up becoming for some 11 year old kid who trained snakes to drill into his house.

I was actually joking about this earlier. I was thinking,, if someone either A Purchased the characters, or B copyrighted them for their own, well he'd just have to come out of silence and speak up no?

I sadly don't know anyone devlish enough to pull such a feat off however....

Copyright doesn't work like that.

Something is legally copyrighted to you the moment you create it, if you aren't under contract to someone else for your creations during that time ("made for hire"). If a conflict comes up, the burden of proof lies on you to prove that you created the thing. A copyright notice on works hasn't been required since 1989.

Registering a copyright is basically insurance if a conflict comes up. Jay has proof, even if he's deleted much of it. You do not.

How do we know Jay knows this? If Jay heard anything like this he would freak out. Plus, Chris has freaked out plenty of times because of people "stealing" his copyrighted character. While Jay's Golden Knight character isn't completely original, it's still more original than Sonichu.

I'm going to have to ask Obamatron to see if he still has the videos, he had them on his channel but privatized them. I do have the Minecraft recording from the silver paladin battle but it's from my POV, not Jay's.

But there's only a problem if Jay actually comes out to claim his shit comic as his own. Which making him prove he's alive is the intention of this exercise, nobody actually cares about truly co-opting his pedophiliac self-insert shit.

That would be fantastic! I've been trying to find an example of this unique voice to show one of my friends, another person who used to rile him up back in the day. He's never heard the Angelic Accent of our epic knight so all my perfect Jayspeak is lost on him.
