If you are happy with your email being what it is you need take no further action. Can I keep my burner email?
Works on multiple devices. I have it on my android / ubuntu / windows environment at the same time just fine.Also,@Null, I am looking into the VPN you mentioned. I am a complete computer exceptional individual; do you know if it would work with multiple devices (home computer/mobile) or do I need a separate account for each one?
If you have a Yahoo, Gmail, or Outlook address not tied to your identity (i.e. if you google it and get no hits), you're fine. What about some of us who use yahoo mail, dude?
read the fucking thread. What about some of us who use yahoo mail, dude?

A whole lot of power over people you gave up control of man. I applaud your transparency and willingness to work with usAfter the site went down I had trepidation handing it off to other people because of a great deal of user data stored. Specifically, email addresses and history of profile changes (including emails). Less significantly, IP history had also been recorded for years. This information was used to snipe banned users when the site was smaller Now, our methodology of dealing with banned users has changed, and the threat of lunatics and the state of political oppression is such that I do not feel comfortable having it. I do not want to know who you are.
I have changed server settings to destroy IP information and user change history every night. I have already destroyed all extant records and backups of that information.
I will be sending an email to users registered with .edu and .gov (yes, really) email addresses informing them to change them. If they do not change their addresses this month, I will unset them and deactivate their accounts. If you want to change your email address regardless, now would be an appropriate time to do so.
I am also in the process of removing Steam integration. If you have Steam integration, deactivate it here. If you only use Steam integration, please add an email address to your account so that you do not lose it when I remove the add-on.
What should I do for email?
If you search your email address used on your Kiwi Farms account and get hits to your personal identity, I suggest you change it now.
We block ton of shitty 10 minute mail services because they're used by spammers and raiders. I do want to keep in touch if something happens. Here are suggested alternatives if you have an email address attached to your real identity.
https://cock.li/ (VC hosts this, great guy)
https://lolcow.email/ (I host this)
https://gmail.com/ (just make a new account, dummy)
No matter what option you go with, it is trivial to set up your email account to pull email from your temporary address and reply with your alias.
If you're using gmail, go here to set up your import and alias.

Different hosts use different ports and address configurations.

Importing mail and sending mail via an alias does not earnote the email with your gmail account. Sent mail can probably be traced by governments but for the purposes of this website it's sufficiently safe.
What should I do for IP addresses?
IP addresses are a lot less dangerous to your identity than Computer Science 4 students would have you believe, but it can reveal your general location. In general it's a good idea to have a VPN because they're cheap as fuck.
I recommend Private Internet Access. I've tried a few others (namely Tunnelbear and HideMyAss) but they're not as stable and keep logs. PIA has installers for Windows/Mac/mobile devices/even Ubuntu so it's pretty kick ass. They do not record access logs so everything they do is unmetered and unmonitored. They pulled nodes in the Russian Federation last year due to legislation requiring VPNs to keep logs.

(and yes, I get kickbacks if you join with this link, though I actually use their shit.)
I am debating increasing our support for the Tor network.
We have not been served any secret court orders and are not under any gag orders. I just like ya a lot.
Yeah, I remember Vordark was demanding "the release of all PM tables." I'm not even 100% sure what he meant by that, though.I believe XenForo deletes conversations that have been left by all parties, though I'm not sure.
