Why are these bitch niggers all so afraid to use the the other drums on their set? Even in genres that should really know better―punk, d&b, metal, even hip hop―it happens constantly.

It's a habit from the way that the traditional drum set is set up.
For decades, drummers worldwide used 1 set up (with minor variations) for their drums and played 1 way (again, with variations).
Only now, because the majority of musicians play drums on MPCs or just draw them in a piece of software these days, the set up is different and we're finally starting to move away from it.
Still, something that ingrained in music will take a long time to fade away, especially since it makes music composition easier.
