This guy was one of the types of victim/witness cops are supposed to weed out as unreliable before filing criminal charges against someone they can't convict. He showed every sign of being either completely full of shit, or at least such a flake that he'd never convince a jury.
I'm getting the strong impression that either he, the cops, or both were hoping that the fact that Spacey is a gross creep would ride out any need to actually, y'know, prove anything.

I fully believe that Spacy gets drunk and handsy and will try to fuck a young gay boy. That said, when Netflix canceled his shit without any due process, they fucked up. I hope Netflix has to eat a giant bowl of shit over their "blatant homophobia" or whatever. DIE BY YOUR OWN CREATION FAGLORDS!!!

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood just came out so now this article is going around.

The funny thing is it didn't even take long to find this from a year ago:

And Samantha accepted his apology.
So why did the journalist leave that out?

Also, Samantha said this later on: "And mostly, I am aware that my rape is being used to attack him and I really don’t like that."

So way to go, Roy Chacko, she doesn't even like being brought up to attack him.

Attacking Tarantino for violence against women is bizarre since his movies are basically violent against everyone regardless of gender. Remember Marsellus' rape scene in Pulp Fiction? Or how about Sam Jackson getting shot in the balls in Hateful Eight? I'm not denying that violence doesn't happen against women in his movies, but singling that out from the other shit in his movies demonstrates extreme tunnel vision. It's fucking stupid.

Re-victimizing a rape victim to exploit them to attack someone else you don't like is so PEAK WOKE.

Fuck these animals.

I sympathize with Quentin making dumbass, ignorant defenses of Polanski because I did the same before I knew the full details of what he did, his complete lack of regret or remorse for it, and his disgusting self-justifications. Polanski is pretty much fucking scum but some of the information that inevitably leads to that conclusion wasn't widely available in 2003.

That's why I hate that woke article so much. There's no need to bring it up when Quentin apologized and personally spoke with Samantha. People go on about how celebrities fuck up and need to apologize, and then when they sincerely do, these dumb articles still pop up.
And yes- this was 2003, not recently.

Even for the Guardian the article is just completely fucking exceptional. Claims he has a habit of abusing women in his movies but then uses PF, KB and H8 as examples

"One of Pulp Fiction’s most famous scenes involves Uma Thurman’s character getting stabbed in the heart with a shot of adrenaline to resuscitate her after a drug overdose. (Though it’s fair to say male characters were also subjected to extreme violence.) "

"(Though it’s fair to say male characters were also subjected to extreme violence.) "

Ya think?

"The Kill Bill films were a cinematic orgy of onscreen violence, most of it directed at Thurman: her character is severely beaten throughout and buried alive. Daryl Hannah’s character Elle Driver doesn’t fare much better – she has both her eyes pulled out. "

And yet it's almost all women on women. Are you only allowed to abuse male characters in film is that what we're arguing here?

"Things reached a peak with Tarantino’s 2015 western The Hateful Eight: Jennifer Jason Leigh’s character is handcuffed to a corpse and beaten and tortured throughout the film. "

Not a single person watching that movie wasn't cheering every time her character got the shit kicked out of her because she was a horrible person without a single redeeming quality. Also let's ignore all the bad things that happened to the male characters (like rape which is ok as long as it happens to men) because those don't fit my flimsy ass fuckin narrative.

"The next film might be different, and we might see a more contrite Tarantino, but we have to ask whether we should bother to find out the answer? "

Isn't his next film supposed to be his last anyways? Owning Feetintino by cancelling him after he retires.

Is this really an example of violence against women when the explicit purpose of the scene is to save her life? It's painful yes, but it isn't malicious in any way.

What about Sam Jackson getting his fucking balls shot off and spending the last 20-30 minutes in agonizing pain? And lest we forget, as you said, she basically organized the deaths of most of the characters in the movie so it isn't as if she was an innocent woman getting abused.

This shit is fuckin' stupid.

Violence against women is exceptional, but violence against men is normal and not worth complaining about. That's how you know both genders are equal.

That's why I hate that woke article so much. There's no need to bring it up when Quentin apologized and personally spoke with Samantha. People go on about how celebrities fuck up and need to apologize, and then when they sincerely do, these dumb articles still pop up.

This is why you never apologize. Because as soon as you do, five minutes later someone else is demanding you start the whole dance over again. It never ends. The only way to win the game is to not play.

Or Chris Tucker getting stuck in a trunk and shot in Jackie Brown. Does that not matter? (LOL, maybe not because nobody talks about Jackie Brown.)
TFW these journalists go on about that ODing scene but they don't care about the Gimp scene in that same film.

These "articles" do not exist to be read and criticized. They exist for the headlines alone which themselves are rallying beacons for the perpetually outraged (and their perpetual outrage clicks).

If there was no crowd to humiliate these people in front of, there would be no reason to engage with them at all. They don't believe in truth, just winning at any cost.

Hubs made me watch some telenovela where the main antagonist was quite a bitch. She was beautiful and always acted so innocent and caring around boyfriend and aunt, but she manipulated people, was a snob classicist ass, and cheated the boyfriend she didn't love but was only marrying for money. There is this scene when the boyfriend finds out and slaps and kicks the hell out of her in front of her family. Later, he cheats the man she was cheating the boyfriend with and he stabbed her when he finds out. When I was watching, I never thought she was a woman, only a terrible human being who deserved the worst.

All these gender critics don't understand how (good) tropes work. Female Villains are particularly delicious because women are often seen as soft or caring. A female villain gives you mixed feelings because of that and that's what makes them awesome, imo.
