Feedback The “Ignore User” function should be a granted privilege to verified users/people of interest -

Whereas I’m not entirely sure this is a feature that can be implemented in XenForo, I’ve long thought that the blue checkmarks on this site should not have the ability to ignore/block other users by default, but rather it be a permission granted by staff.

There are some verified users on the site who are/were basically harmless (Geth, who is was a fag but harmless. Maybe LoRdKaT) that might be candidate a pass, but other cows like Tooter who incessantly talk shit to other users shouldn’t have the option to cower.

Of course, people can circumvent this by using Greasemonkey or similar in their browser, but it’ll take some effort on their end.

If you have someone on ignore/block, you’ll receive a notification on the top and the bottom of the post to the extent of “this content may grind your gears,” and you are given the ability to make it the hidden posts appear.

Let them block. From what I've seen, there is a natural effect that happens with blocking.

Cows are more likely to block people tossing out a lot of white noise. You know the people who hit threads where cows are posting and they basically just toss retarded shit to try to get the cow's attention? Those people usually get blocked. The people who get under a cow's skin well enough, they are the ones that a cow won't block. They want to see what those people have to say, they are here because their personality demands they respond to that person.
