Some of music's biggest stars are inviting you into their homes for a special one-hour event to help support relief for all of the first responders and everyone else who has been risking their lives every day in the fight against the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the victims of its rippling effects.
Hosted by Sir Elton John, FOX presents The iHeartRadio Living Room Concert for America will feature performances from artists including Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Camila Cabello, Dave Grohl, H.E.R., Mariah Carey, Sam Smith, and Tim McGraw, from their own living rooms.
The iHeartRadio Living Room Concert for America will also feature guest appearance from celebrities like Ciara, Demi Lovato, Lizzo, Russell Wilson and more.
The special will also pay tribute to the people on the frontlines during this difficult time in order to fight the spread of COVID-19 — the health professionals, first responders and local heroes. In addition to the musical performances, viewers can support two of many charitable organizations that are helping victims and first responders during this pandemic —Feeding America and First Responders Children's Foundation.
This is one event you will not want to miss. So while you're staying home, tune in to FOX on Sunday, March 29th at 9pm ET/6pm PT. And to extend the reach of the event and its charitable aspect, FOX will offer the event across all of its linear and digital platforms. Fans can also listen on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide, and via the iHeartRadio app.

Who else is going to watching it for shits and giggles? Look so bad. Where is reality when you need him?

What is the fucking point if they're going to create choreographed edited versions of songs that still sound way worse than what they actually recorded 20 years ago? I mean, taking the example of "I Want It That Way" goes from "bad pop music that rides on the fumes of nostalgia" to "absolutely horrible cringe that no sane human would want to listen to more than five seconds of".

What is up with Madonna anyways. I don't recognize her.
There's nothing that didn't happen to her face by now. Some more nightmare shit can be found in the BP thread.

I only knew about this whole thing because of all the now middle-aged women on Twitter still fawning over the Backstreet Boys after seeing this.

iHeartMedia can go fuck itself.

Back in January the company decided to let go of "dozens of employees" in an effort to "modernize" radio. But from what I know anecdotally, that dozens is closer to hundreds. What that effectively means is that they culled a good chunk of the local content producers so a lot of radio stations would be simulcast through a number of centralized hubs. So any local content? Any local personalities? Any local anything? Nope, sorry. You get the same format and a same pool of talent whether you're in New York, Illinois, Kansas, or Utah.

Funny thing - now that the pandemic is here, people NOW need that local talent they were more than happy to shave off. Oops, good thinking iHeart.

God if that isn't the truth! Used to have tons of great radio personalities in the mid 2000s to the early 2010s until Iheart basically commercialized everything into a constant mix of playlists. Yeah there are some who still are around but it's very rare and they just don't feel the same via each city.
