This thread was originally in the salt mine and was pretty active. Seeing as the salt mine died, I figured I would start a new thread here. I'm in class right now but when I get home I'll start writing a recap of all of the big drama that has happened in the past few years. Keep in mind that what I have spoilered right now doesn't even begin to cover all of the scandals and autistic meltdowns that have taken place. In the mean time, feel free to post about current drama or write your own recaps and I'll put them in here. There is a loooooot of ground to cover with this thread, so it may take a while to get caught up.

WIP- Basic gist is Jeremy of Unsleevedmedia called a cosplayer a "6/10" on stream and the community had a collective meltdown, resulting in Jeremy getting permabanned from sanctioned magic events and other content creators leveraging their userbase to get his patreon taken down.

Many of the youtube creators and constantly at war with each other. Many of these creators frankly deserve their own spoiler sections, if not threads, but I will keep it concise for now.

Wedge from the Mana Source- A has-been MTG youtuber that hides behind his anxiety as an excuse for his lack of content. Has Squabled with Unsleevedmedia.

The Mana Leek- Rallies up his userbase to get people he doesn't like banned from the game, youtube, or even patreon

Deselatormagic- Probably as close to Verlisify as the magic community has. Generally autistic content comprised of him playing random games and ranting about shit going on in the community

Over the years there has been a lot of problems with the community such as how poorly run tournaments are now days and wide spread cheaters. As well as an issue with "big" MtG players basically running the tournaments so they can get preferred treatment.

That CBN article has gotta be ancient as hell cause it's talking about Demonic Consultation which is from Ice Age a set that was printed in 1995. Also the description of the card isn't for it anyway it sounds like the pre-4th edition version of Unholy Strength, also pre 1995.

Though CBN getting facts right was never their strong suit.

My avatar comes from a better demonic card anyway. Consultation was the shitty version of Demonic Tutor.

I'll quit being an autist now though.

Hey guys, long time lurker, saw this thread about mtg and was wondering if you guys had covered/remembered all the drama over Deriums in OH, they were the shop that did the popular youtube series Card Store Life. They had some ****gate drama over a youtuber convention they were trying to organise a few years ago that fell apart. Also the owner had a beef with all the screaming SJWs at reddit over politics and pokemon deleted the channel told WOTC to fuck off and now he's a top Pokemon youtuber and supplier.

Also got anything about Alpha Investments, rudy certainly ruffles some feathers with the easily triggered.

Oh yeah first page for Based Rudy, he's definitely on the shitlord side, they just can't touch him though as he has no need for them. I'll go through the thread and see if there's any extra drama that's been missed.

WOTC fucked up some of the initial printing on Masters 25 and tried to cover it up, Rudy covers it in a recent vid. General consensus is that they just don't give a fuck anymore about quality, numerous problems over recent years.

Printing issues, the thing that gets brought up the most often is "warped" cards where they're curved like potato chips.

Maybe from a magazine (most of those religious orgs had magazines) and just ported to the website is my guess. There was a time period around then where they quit using demons and stuff because of things like that article. Then they realized nobody really cared except for people that weren't buying their product anyway and started using em again.

Seems every three or four years you'll get people saying that MtG is a the gateway to the occult. D&D was the same but now days you don't see that as often. Churches today accept the game as is, just a game.

Issue with this, Master sets are supposed to be limited. Why would they sit on more boxes than say Rivals of Ixalan? Only way they would be sitting on boxes is because stores didn't order them due to issues with the last Masters set and these stores don't want to hold on to shit they can't sell. Couple that with poor quality control no one wants to buy these because there's no return in investment on your cards.

No, he buys and sell magic products, and specifically buys and holds large quantities of old sealed product as a form of unregistered asset. He represents the magic speculator more than anything else, and has a financial interest in the health of the community to ensure his bags maintain or increase in value.

Tbh I have been following since the Deriums issue and that is probably the best point to map it from. Deriums takes stance against SJWs and them slowly influencing WTC.

Jeremy from FuckingChangeChannelNameHere got triggered capitalised on it but got burned and shown as an example. Proceeded to totally not be upset but triggered on WTC. Jeremy is equally as bad because he traded another master and eternally rimjobs Soyboy of Akkad.

Now at this point - WTC continually fuck up and are double downing on it and this will probably be the sword they fall on. I honestly dont trust Rudy at all because he is just capitalising on it and I don't think he has any integrity.

The whole situation is basically Marvel comics 2.0 and teaches the tale of never mixing politics in business.

Exhibits of Evidence for the consideration of Hambly as a bonefide cow;

1. He literally thought he, singlehandedly, was set to start GamerGate 2, and actually told people (or just really really convincingly lied about) how he believed he had the ammunition to be brought on Fox News over it. Over the initial few weeks he would tweet incessantly at Fox News hosts about the "scandal" convinced that it was legitimate enough to be thrown on television. He would also go on to write his own letter of support and ask people send it to their local news stations to try and get eyes on the conflict.

Reminder; despite the assurance after the fact, none of this was trolling and he was totally fucking serious in his initial beef. This will be important to remember later.

2. Repeated instances of fail-trolling, while crying about being trolled. Some may argue "Ah, but he's point out their own hypocrisy!", which may be valid had it at any point appeared like he knew what he was doing. Jokes about Nazism/The Holocaust would be a constant during this brief period, at a time where he was sincerely attempting to pander to "legitimate media" for attention and support. When it was pointed out he probably shouldn't be doing this when trying to appear sympathetic, he merely suggested there was "no proof he was serious" about asking Nazis for help. He just wanted it to look like he was. That this would bring him horrendous optics didn't during this critical period register to him.

4. The HUGE ARTICLE (which is, according to him, getting more hits than it would on somewhere like Breitbart), a no-name he tried to play off was a world famous investigative journalist who was so enthralled by his war with an Orwellian corporation he sought him out to take on the case himself, and the fact that he claimed to have been personally targeted by the company in response to it. A subtle clue of the authenticity of "The Journalists" involvement was the fact that Jeremy was seemingly given a copy of tsaid article (in PDF format, hence it's "23 pages") prior to publishing. Considering it consists almost entirely of lines and arguments from his prior videos ("But are WotC now not harassing Jeremy the way they say he harasses others?!"), it seems as though Jeremy himself wrote the bulk of the content himself, passing it off to whatever "established" media personality he could partner up with to post it under their name.

4A. This is his "world famous journalist". To vouch for his credibility, Jeremy would insist Lou was the one who broke the Anthony Weiner dickpic scandal (the first one). To anyone paying attention, this was in fact Opie and Anthony and Andrew Brietbart.

He is now seeing to it to remain an InfoWars staple.

5. The pedo shit he couldn't get anyone to care about, except Jim, who proceeded to actually make it funny and then immediately dismiss it as Jeremy ran around for months after the fact pleading "N-no guys really, there's child molesters everywhere, pay attention to me..". This (in addition to his poorly reasoned decision to side with The Liberalists in the resulting Bloodsports Civil War) would be a factor in his own beef with Metokur later down the line.

The Metokur Incident would be funny in it's own right, as Jeremy -who consistently doesn't shut the fuck up about how "spicy" he is- attempts to blast Jim for being more concerned with lulz than "serious business" and refers to him as "salty" numerous times.

6. This just made me laugh, as he clearly tweeted that in hopes of being approached in a friendly manner toward the guy.

7. the aforementioned "Lol guys, I can't show anything but I'm totally winning back here... all the companies are acknowledging this was IDEOLOGICALLY DRIVEN and are siding with me... big things happenin' fellas... stay tuned..." in the public face of seemingly never getting one over on anybody ever. In fact, he will repeatedly break HUGE HAPPENINGS! only to just as quickly drop them if they don't pick up the steam he feels they deserve.

8. Is literally a personal armyfag. His initial "20,000 Gamer Revolt!", his attempts to endear himself to the Metokur/Warski audience (and in at least one case actually succeeding), and once just outright saying in a video "BE A REAL SHAME IF MY ENEMIES LIST FOUND IT'S WAY ON KIWIFARMS...", coupled with a dramatic "Oh yeah, this is where I'm taking it!" scowl immediately after to erase any doubt that big boy is playing around.

I also want to address, now that apparently he's getting more traction as a knob, that I would post this in real-time in the MtG salt thread. None of the posters thought any of this shit was weird, and I was repeatedly called autistic for thinking any of this shit was weird, one guy repeatedly insisting I seemed to be doing it just to be contradictory to the rest of the thread and board.

Literally nobody thought any of this shit was weird for months. They watched him do this for months on end, and I was autistic for saying any of it was dumb.
