People who have this much hatred for fictional characters worry me. Fine, you don't like a particular character, that's perfectly normal. But drawing said character being brutally murdered just to show how much you hate them? That's nearing dangerously close to sociopathy.
Why do you think Steven Universe got so popular? It's all the magical girl stuff they love, but in a medium where they can act as gatekeepers and their complaining gets responses from the people who make it.
The only real exception I've seen is that a few of them like shitting on Cutie Honey for its fanservice-y nature. Which isn't surprising, since the only Go Nagai series that's generally positively received on Tumblr is Devilman (and to a lesser extent, Mazinger).
Stephen Universe is blatantly a magical girl cartoon. Powerpuff Girls is a spoof of the Sailor Moon-aspects of the genre.

To this day I still cant fathom how someone can draw a character they dont like for petty reasons such as shipping being brutally killed by another. They spend hours working on a physical representation of autism and they still dont get they should be ashamed for doing this. It's like they lack any kind of social awareness.
Magical Girls fandoms are also terrible outside of Tumblr. 4chan's Nanoha threads reek are full of lolicons and Madoka threads have been taken over by Tripfags (people with a name instead of anonymous posters) who literally spend hundreds of posts sperging together about how character X of the show is their wife and they live and have sex with them. Details and all. 14 years old girls who are drawn like this

They'd go full autism because they probably invest in the show so much that they'd want some part of it cattered to them. They wouldn't want some guy in it because "muh safe space" despite the fact that the guy wouldn't really jack it to anime school girls with powers. They'd want the shows to be "diverse" without understanding how Japan is homogenous (sure they can say there are non-Japanese but how much of that contributes to the total population?) that the show itself can have a bit of real life from the perspective of a Japanese citizen. Tumblr and any other hug-box website focused on Magical Girls would no doubt turn a kids show into an autistic cesspit they themselves infect.
I just don't understand to be honest. Can't people just enjoy a show and be a fan of it? Why do they always go full autism on it? I like magical girl anime. It's cute and fun in my dull life. I didn't even know that magical girl shit even warranted a thread, but then again Tumblr does usually ruin everything.
As hypocritical as it is, the radfems would say the lesbian relationship is empowering and not perverted despite the fact that they are throwing something onto characters in a show that would most likely, due to the volition of the creators who decide what is canon, just be friends. Sure lesbian relationship isn't as sexual as hentai of magical girls but it's still sexual on an underaged character. Hypocrisy can be one hell of a drug for some of these people.
I know someone who won't shut the fuck up about how Madoka has the best narrative evar. I liked Madoka too but it's not what I call the best show I ever seen. She can get rather insufferable too since she's a USI writer and acts like a snob towards "lesser" shows.
