Has this ever been a serious issue for anyone? I've been hearing this joke for over 20 years and was under the impression that it was only used in sit coms to characterize a woman in a relationship who was fed up and looking for reasons to be mad.

I have at the very least heard complaints about people taking up too much room on the subway. I have never heard anyone complain about the position a toilet seat was in.

I've complained but that's because I have to tell male guests to keep the toilet lid closed so the cat doesn't play in it.

Same here. People of both sexes forget to put the lid down, and my cats are all retarded. They're like special needs children who just found a bunch of acrylic paints and no adult around... -__-;
